We salute you today champ, in your birthday October 18th. One of the greatest boxers and punchers of all-time, member of the Four Kings of Boxing, and World Champion in 5 weight classes, the great Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns!

The first man in boxing history to win 4 world titles in 4 different weight classes.

The Hitman is 63 today. Let's show him some love!

First man ... Ehhh... The record books will say that but the hardcore purists know Henry Armstrong won that fight with Ceferino Garcia and should have had four weight division titles simultaneously.

That being said, Tommy Hearns is a man who isn't given enough credit. It kind of blew my mind the man fought into the cruiserweight division picking up the IBO title, which at the time was basically saying he was deserving of a top 15 rating--- kind of like how the NABF title once upon a time meant you were a top 15 guy.

And that was the well passed his prime version. He should've retired back in 1992-1993 instead of hanging on until 2006, but he had enough in him to carry on in a depleted division at 190+.

I am glad after all of these years that Ray Leonard admitted that Hearns did beat him in their 1989 draw, because it was a robbery. The man beat virtually everybody in front of him except for Marvin Hagler. Of course Iran Barkley was another fly in the ointment that he had no answer for, but beyond that nobody was really touching him.
