TV guide was correct. I remember watching Bobick v Houpe and Quarry v Bethea. Quarry boxed like a dream that night, like he did pre-Foster. After the Foster KO he really started to engage rather than box. At the time I thought it was because of the Foster KO. That maybe he lost something. But later I think it was just a case of him trying to be more box-office with an exciting style. The problem with this thinking was Mike had a very good jaw but no punch. And that adds up to him taking part in an unnecessary dust-up for 10 full rounds. But this fight with Bethea, Mike turned back the clock and boxed beautifully.

I remember NBC Sportsworld use to show fights on Saturday or Sunday that had been taped earlier in the week if the week
October 30 1976 was on a Saturday so there is a good chance it was shown live..
I'm sure Quarry vrs Bethea was probably taped just in case the Bobick vrs Houpe ended early

The NY Times states both bouts were nationally televised.
