I guess, Bruno could establish a lead on points with outboxing Wilder behind some basic jabs and one-twos, but only for a start. Frank could even have Wilder in trouble, but eventually Deontay would catch the defensively imperfect Bruno with a huge right hand. Bruno would get hurt badly, he would panic and wobble around. Wilder would finish him off.

That huge overhand thrown early was a helluva shot and it dropped big men down like Ekuland and Coetzee and wrecked Ferguson and Ribalta later down the line.

Be interesting to see whether a cold Wilder could survive that kind of huge shot from a pumped-up Bruno in the early rounds. It probably had more fight-ending power on it that some of Fury's bombs.

The 'other Frank' who gave Lewis a very nasty night, beat-up Coetzer and bossed McCall has a chance as well.

Maybe if Wilder had got Frank as an early defence - instead of Molina or Duhapas - he might have got crunched. That is where Wilder would have been vulnerable to a Bruno who bombed or bullied with the jab/his clinching.

This is a fight I would love to see because it is a lot like facing Anthony Joshua. Frank Bruno was rushed to the top a little too fast, but he ended up demonstrating he was world-class. That fight with Oliver McCall was really good.

Wilder is so reckless and hard hitting, and so much taller, that it certainly would be a tough contest for Bruno. Both men have demonstrated toughness and fortitude at different times in their careers, so it definitely would be a very entertaining fight.

Bruno lost to tall'ish Bonecrusher Smith (6'4"), and Lennox Lewis (6'5") and Wilder's 6'7" with an 83" reach. Whether you like Wilder or not you have to admit he does have fast hands, at least in comparison to most of the heavyweights out there today.

Then again Bruno did score a kayo over 6'4" Pierre Coetzer (KO8) so would size be too much of a factor? Who knows.

I guess whoever lands first takes it. Jumbo Cummings, who was at the end of his career, almost knocked out Frank Bruno in the first round. He had the kind of punching power that Wilder basically has.

The smart money is Wilder to win by knockout, but a betting man hoping to get rich is going to lay a few bucks on Bruno--- but I would go with Wilder only because Bruno did well against guys who were textbook boxer types, who weren't really pressing the issue all too much.

Guys who came straight at him throwing bombs, etc was a different story. Bruno never had much resistance to those type of guys. I'd say Wilder to get him out of there somewhere between rounds five and eight.
