That Marcus Browne fight is actually challenge, Beterbiev must handle that first. As far as i know, Bivol is going to face John Ryder? That is good fight too.

I think Beterbiev and Bivol will stay away from one another and wait for the Canelo call.

Well, considering Beterbiev's age and innactivity, it may be a challenge.

I expected to see Bivol wanting to fight Zurdo Ramirez, as he called out Bivol.

Most probably but it would be a pity to not unify first.

My guess is canelo will fight Bivol may next year unless benevidez or charlo take a significantly smaller cut than they want.

When it seemed that the Plant fight was called-off, Bivol was leading the queue of fighters facing Canelo.

I feel that still remains the case after the Plant bout, especially when you consider the fact that Bivol holds a title and is a fellow stablemate of Canelo’s.

Bivol @175 is a better opponent than Charlo or Benavidez tbh.

kov gave canelo a better fight up at lhw, if anything he's fought so far deters him from more lhw action that would be it id think, but even then he ko'd him.

bivol is a small lhw too and without major pop

BJS fought well and he was in that fight until he got caught. He frustrated Canelo a bit and he was boxing well.

Kovalev was shot. You know it as well as everyone else does. He boxed well but that fight was nearly a foregone conclusion.

kovalev lasted longer and won more rounds, was actually even on a card. if he did that well as a shot fighter (him being shot just strengthens my point) might make canelo think twice about lhw, certainly more than the bjs fight would. bjs fight was a total foregone conclusion too btw, dude won 2 rounds and had his face caved in, he was never going to win

but i dont think canelo will be too weary about lhw, i expect him to fight bivol. i think there's little difference in size between bivol and say david benavidez, plant, or smith

The fact that Kovalev lasted so long and was even on a card strengthens my point.

However, Canelo has proven time and again that he is up for the challenge. I would rather see the Benavidez and Charlo fights, but I would enjoy the Bivol fight. All three are legit.

The cards were 78-74 x 2 and 77-75. BJS fought better than I expected.

Did your wife kick you to the couch or something? The point is they were both considered foregone conclusions by most and they were both more competitive than expected.

This fight is not a foregone conclusion. We will see how Canelo deals with Plant’s gift and skill sets. He does not have Kovalev pop and he is not as cute an operator as BJS, but he is quick, elusive and can punch. He is bigger, longer and prime.

What happens next will be determined by what happens Saturday. This is a test that Canelo should pass but he has not faced anyone quite like Plant.

Even if he wins, if it does not go well Team Canelo may rethink the 3rd 3G fight.

You have been arguing with yourself, trigger-happy. I never disagreed with your take on the Kovalev fight, but you chugged full steam ahead as though I did.

If Canelo cuts through Plant like butter, he still may not fight Bivol if there is a more lucrative option. But, as you have pointed out, they are from the same stable.
