Refunds on ticket sales in boxing

I’m not quite sure how these work in boxing. Take the recent Whyte pullout but the show goes on. Is everyone entitled to ask for a refund? Does this only apply to the main event? So if a lower fight is cancelled can you ask for a refund? Shows always have the proviso “fights may be subject to change” on the poster, so is the promoter legally required to offer a refund if it changes?
Can someone explain the process? Cheers

Yes, if you've bought the ticket from an undercard fighter and they pull out, they'll refund you.

I’ve been to a couple of FW shows where the cards have basically completely fallen apart and end up absolutely nothing like advertised. No refunds were offered as the events did still go ahead. Disappointing, but just a fact of life.

Yes, if you've bought the ticket from an undercard fighter and they pull out, they'll refund you.
Thanks. But what if you bought it from box office or some other ticket source?

Wow. Kinda what you expect from FW. I know most shows get cancelled if the main event pulls out, but but not always, like last night. Imagine buying a ticket to watch a world class contest liken Whyte - Wallin then having to watch Babic, Fisher and a woman fight.
I would suggest that Fisher’s sales saved the white then.

Depends on the wording of the advert.
Normally they say a night of championship boxing with the small print saying bill subject to change.
Therefore as long as their is some kind of title on the line on the night refunds are not given back..
If it is advertised as a night of world championship boxing you will need to have a world title fight.

The card subject to change has been there for donkey's years and needs challenging, if you buy a ticket for a show and then it changes you should be entitled to a refund.
How much were tickets last night ? Was the price reduced once Whyte pulled out ?

Great point. Imagine paying 500 quid to watch Whyte Wallin and then watching Molina Babic instead. Like paying for Wagyu steak and getting a Big Mac for the same price.

I totally agree refunds should be automatic for main event pullouts. Not good enough, another example of the greed and disdain towards fans by promoters.
I've seen some suggestions that fans should wait until a few days before to buy tickets now. So many pullouts.
