Speaking to talkSPORT, Sulaiman explained that the WBC will give Fury and Usyk the chance to organise a unification clash, but otherwise they would look to make a Fury-Whyte fight.
“The WBC order was very clear, that the winner of Fury vs. Wilder has one month to try to secure the ultimate unification against Usyk, who defeated Joshua,” he said.
“If they’re not capable of doing such, then the WBC would go with a mandatory, which is the interim champion.
“We have received from the British Boxing Board of Control the medical certification that Whyte could not fight Wallin because of the injury.
“So we are going to do what we promised, which is that way we are moving forward.”
Whyte will finally get his shot

Hardly he retires, until the situation with Usyk/Joshua is solved. He gotta fight at least a winner of that bout. Anyway, I doubt he retires even afterwards.

He's fully booked up for December, his tour and Tommy's corner. He's not boxing for a while.

I’d like to watch this, if it happens, but it’s not a fight that excites me as the outcome seems so obvious.
Whyte hasn’t done anything that would make you think he has an earthly of winning this. He’s been KO by a 40 year old Povetkin who was over the hill, went life and death with Chisora twice, and Parker once, sparked by Joshua and looked ponderous and limited vs Wach and Helenius.
Still at least it’s a fight between top 5 guys, just shows how thin the division is though

Fury will fight for at least two or three more years so the fight definitely will happen. Whyte certainly is deserving of a title shot considering his resume:
Povetkin (WKO4, LKO5)
Wach (W10)
Rivas (W12)
Chisora (KO11, WSD12)
Parker (W12)
Browne (KO6)
Helenius (W12)
That being said, I think he has been slowing down and injuries starting to mount up. And even though he won those matches I wasn't really impressed with the Parker fight, and the fact that he got knocked out by a guy over 40 years old makes me think that Fury could potentially put him away in 8 rounds or less.
It will certainly be a fun scrap, with a pretty interesting build up. But I'm not so sure it's going to be as competitive as people are hoping. We will see how it goes, and if it happens in England it will certainly be a big contest--- although I suspect it will take place in Las Vegas.
It will be interesting to see who will be brought on as sparring partners for both men. And it will be interesting to see if Fury will be 270+ for Whyte or if he will come in lighter since a lot of people are saying that Fury is incapable of moving around the ring like he used to.

He's made that much money with PPV's he can afford to turn them down.

Fury may be slowing down a bit, but I think his sluggishness against Wilder was simply an awful combination of spending eighteen months in ticking-over training followed by a disrupted camp where he got Covid and then took weeks out to pray for his critically ill child (so was never able to peak where he should have for a title fight).
I think a lot of the bluster about coming in heavy was simply a cover for a less than optimal camp.
If he has a good camp this time I expect him to have far too much of everything for Whyte.

I think it’s a fun fight.
Fury defo favourite, but Whyte will be in his face before and during the fight and won’t be scared of him.
I know the KO loss to Povetkin looked devastating, but I think it was a shot from the gods.

It wasn't. It was a shot from a very high level boxer who's been doing it all his life.

He wanted a full camp and no rematch clause from memory. I can’t begrudge him that.

Agreed that Povetkin knew what he was doing, but a number of things aligned for the spectacular nature of the outcome.
I don’t think Whyte is generally a vulnerable fighter.

Whyte has been rocked by jabs. He's very vulnerable.

This fight will give me a better gauge on the level of Wilder(and Fury).

With Tyson it always depends a bit on his preperation and mindset, but if he is on form it will be like when he fought Chisora.

An excellent list, but out of this 9 fights Whyte wasn't troubled only against the sh!thouse Browne and against post-covid Povetkin. Whyte is a good fighter, but vulnerable enough, especially for such operator like Fury. Dillian gotta be obliterated.
