PPV expectations for big fights

Ive read Fury - Wilder 3 did 600k buys? That is pretty good isnt it? ....How many PPV will Canelo - Plant and Crawford - Porter do?
I was just discussing thins on another site. My predictions were 500k and 250k.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑01 Nov 2021, 06:53Pure guesses…
• Canelo-Plant = 450K
• Crawford-Porter = 225K
Or- like me, if it isn't value for money, eg: just the main event and a predictable undercard, I will wait and see the fights that are half decent later.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2021, 09:06I was just discussing thins on another site. So I am right there with you on those predictions.
It is too easy to get a free stream anymore, and most people just don't care enough about boxing to pay for it
I ahve paid for a ton of ppvs. But I have streamed illegally numerous others that just weren't worth the money. I guess I'm an outlawKiwiRider wrote: ↑01 Nov 2021, 14:42Or- like me, if it isn't value for money, eg: just the main event and a predictable undercard, I will wait and see the fights that are half decent later.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2021, 09:06I was just discussing thins on another site. I'm not a law breaker type.
Did you catch The Glover/Blachowicz card? These cards are absurd. I remember the days when I thought a boxing card was stacked if it had a couple of great matchups on it. Three great matchups were a rarity. Now you have the UFC putting up events where the main cards have 4-5 great matchups consistently. Not to mention the undercard bouts. Well, for the PPVs anyway.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑01 Nov 2021, 16:34 Canelo is going up against an absolutely loaded UFC. That will cost a lot of late impulse buys like .Me.
I think they both do 300 ish.
I watched a couple rounds of the main and turned it off. I had at least heard of both fighters.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑02 Nov 2021, 16:26Did you catch The Glover/Blachowicz card? Yan/Sandhagen was great. I believe that card had 3 future champs on it. Petr should beat the Funkmaster, Islam most likely beats Dustin, and Khamzat looks like he is en route to the title in a couple more fights. I see him beating Kamaru seeing he gets past Colby this weekend.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑02 Nov 2021, 16:51I watched a couple rounds of the main and turned it off. I like Colby. I'd pay for Justin/Chandler alone before the canelo card.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑02 Nov 2021, 17:01Yan/Sandhagen was great. I believe that card had 3 future champs on it. Good guess i agree. They both may be a bit higher but in that relative rangeEnlightened-One wrote: ↑01 Nov 2021, 06:53Pure guesses…

The problem is boxers are so overpaid that you have to go ppv to get even almost big fights. Hell, pbc is running ppvs with b sides I've never heard of.

There won't be anything of note on the ucKiwiRider wrote: ↑07 Nov 2021, 03:57FFSOnetimeonly wrote: ↑07 Nov 2021, 03:49Yup, but since it's ESPN there is no UFC going against it. They have a lead in card.neither of those twats is ppv. Unless there are two other good fights on the card.
