Pure guesses…

• Canelo-Plant = 450K
• Crawford-Porter = 225K

I was just discussing thins on another site. My predictions were 500k and 250k.
So I am right there with you on those predictions.
It is too easy to get a free stream anymore, and most people just don't care enough about boxing to pay for it

Or- like me, if it isn't value for money, eg: just the main event and a predictable undercard, I will wait and see the fights that are half decent later.
I'm not a law breaker type.

I ahve paid for a ton of ppvs. But I have streamed illegally numerous others that just weren't worth the money. I guess I'm an outlaw

Canelo is going up against an absolutely loaded UFC. That will cost a lot of late impulse buys like .Me.

I think they both do 300 ish.

I will be one of the buyers.
Having some friends and family over for the fights. They usually start showing up around 6:00, if they all make it there will be 12 people here on Saturday.
Gonna be a fun night.

Judging by the numbers of recent years it looks like theres about 500K people that still pay for fights. It goes up to a million when mainstream names like Canelo or Floyd are involved (or the Paul brothers).

Even still the internet is full of conversations about the fight making it kind of obvious that a whole lot more than those 500k watched the fight. Its clear that $70 is not competitive anymore with so many streaming options ranging from free to $20 and I wonder when would promoters finnaly get the message. Millions are watching and they could be selling those eyes to advertisers instead of abusing those 500k souls. Time to make them free or drop the price to $15-$20 Ive been paying $15 a month for years for a streaming service and I would 100% rather give them to the actual promoter if it was an option. Im just not paying $70

Did you catch The Glover/Blachowicz card? These cards are absurd. I remember the days when I thought a boxing card was stacked if it had a couple of great matchups on it. Three great matchups were a rarity. Now you have the UFC putting up events where the main cards have 4-5 great matchups consistently. Not to mention the undercard bouts. Well, for the PPVs anyway.

I watched a couple rounds of the main and turned it off. I had at least heard of both fighters.

Yan/Sandhagen was great. I believe that card had 3 future champs on it. Petr should beat the Funkmaster, Islam most likely beats Dustin, and Khamzat looks like he is en route to the title in a couple more fights. I see him beating Kamaru seeing he gets past Colby this weekend.

I like Colby. I'd pay for Justin/Chandler alone before the canelo card.

Anytime boxing gets above half a million we oughta be pretty thrilled about it. The PPV era of boxing is pretty much over.

The problem is boxers are so overpaid that you have to go ppv to get even almost big fights. Hell, pbc is running ppvs with b sides I've never heard of.

Yup, but since it's ESPN there is no UFC going against it. They have a lead in card.

Yeah, thanks mate.
I just did a search for the listings of who is fighting who, then had to do a search on the boxers I hadn't heard of .
Not a good sign.
