Will Plant be #1 PFP if he beats Canelo?

Plant winning is a long shot, but curious if anyone would consider him to replace Canelo in the mythical pfp spot?
Regardless, I'm pulling for Plant. I love his mindset, work ethic, etc. Hope his skills, style, and edurance are good enough. USA!

You shouldn't rank a dude #1 p4p if their only resume is a win over the former #1 p4p.
As an example, Antonio Tarver beat Roy Jones Jr., but it would be silly to rank Tarver #1 p4p. We know that flukes happen in boxing sometimes, and the best way to judge the likelihood of a fluke is look at how close the fighter's other accomplishments are.
If some fighter's best scalp has a boxrec rating of 1,000 and his second best scalp has a boxrec rating of 9, it's probably a fluke. If his second best scalp has a boxrec rating of 300, then it's probably not a fluke. (Hypothetical numbers. These aren't meant to describe Antonio Tarver's scalps.)
In a similar case, just because Andy Ruiz beats Anthony Joshua doesn't mean he's legitimately a top 2 heavyweight. Ruiz's best scalp had a boxrec rating of 380, and his second best scalp had a boxrec rating of 5.

I am also pulling for Plant. No fighter deserves that much respect.

It's fair to put Canelo on #1 p4p position today, but he isn't an inarguable candidate for it. Canelo's mosr recent opposition is far from the p4p top. If Plant defeats Canelo, it'll be his single win over a legit top notch opponent. Plant can't be put right to the 1st place with a single win over a high level fighter.

No, but he'd at least enter the Top 5 with a victory, maybe even the Top 3 with a really emphatic victory, but I'd be very surprised by that.
