If Cotto KO Corley on February 26, could he can gain the respect of Tszyu and Mayweather to accept a quick fight with him?

I would assume he has the respect of Mayweather and Tszyu naturally.

Tszyu won't fight him cause after Hatton he'll want a mega money fight. Cotto is too dangerous for his own good at the moment, no one is in a real hurry to call him out and rightly so.

If Mayweather goes to prison im all for Gatti - Cotto. Excellent fight and i would put my money on Cotto to end Arturo's transformation run

Cotto isn't big money at the moment which means people will duck him for a while.
I think Tszyu will have moved up to welter before Cotto really makes an impact on the division. As for Mayweather he may want the fight but a lot can happen in the mean time....legal stuff, Gatti fight..ect..

I think the top guys know how good Cotto is which in reality is probably in the top three of the division already.

Someone will have to fight him sooner or later though.

Could you imagine how massive it would be in Peurto Rico if he went up to welter and fought Trinidad! I'm not saying its likely to happen but it would be interesting.

Or even a double header, with Cotto on the undercard, would be awesome. Or if Cotto has made it to the top by that point, make it a dual headliner.

Trinidad - Hopkins Rematch + Cotto - Mayweather on the same card, imagine that? 8)
