It would be a nice scrap. Duran was a better fighting man, sharper and mor advanced. The bout would be competetive, but Duran would win wide enough on cards.

Now this is one of those legendary fights where I hate to pick a winner because I love the both of them. As great as Duran was, Armstrong was slightly better imho.

As much as I love Duran he was not always consistent in his performances, while Armstrong was pretty consistent from featherweight through welterweight. He was robbed of winning the middleweight title from a man he had already previously defeated.

Duran could be absolutely relentless and probably hit harder, but Armstrong was like a human buzz saw throwing non-stop perpetual motion attacks. An incredible workrate. He was also a bit faster than Duran.

It would be a pretty ugly fight. Because Duran has is to make it ugly. A lot of fouling, mauling, and blistering punches. Probably be dead even after 12 rounds but I think that Armstrong has enough in the tank to win those final three rounds.

I like Duran big in this one- he has a huge defensive advantage and also boxed better. I see a tko win for Duran on cuts.

Armstrong's a little stronger, little better stamina, and faced more styles at 135, plus he defended against welters. Probably neck and neck till the last 3 when Henry takes over.

A one-dimensional fighter cannot beat a complete fighter like the great Roberto Duran.

It would be a great fight, perhaps one of the best in history, but after 7 rounds, it would be all Roberto Duran!
