Hughes was tragically killed,in 1995,at the height of his prime. He was a very entertaining action Brawler. What if he wasn't killed in 1995, and was able to have a 10 round scrap vs fellow action Brawler Mickey Ward..?

Well,I guess, since there hasn't been any replies to this particular hypo,I'll just go ahead and respond to my own thread.
I would have to pick Jesse James Hughes in this particular bout. They used to nickname him The Outlaw.
He was a very Firey, high spirited type. A very rough tough American southern boy.
His skills were seeming to improve with every bout.
He went the distance in losing efforts with the likes of Buddy McGirt and Tocker Pudwill. I think he was injured in the Pudwill bout. He clearly wasn't himself in that odd loss. Him losing to Pudwill was along the lines of Duran losing to Laing,or that other boxer, can't think of his name offhand.

But anyway,Hughes's wins against the likes of Adrian Stone and Anthony Stephens were particularly impressive, and showed his Amazing resilience and grit in the ring. I think that Mickey Ward's straight forward brawler style would've been basically tailor made for the gritty brawler feisty action fighter stylist that Jesse James Hughes was. I would definitely favor Hughes to prevail in this high intensity brawler battle. For a 10 rounder,it goes the distance, with JJH winning a UD. 6-4 in rounds.
In a 12 rounder,I could definitely see Hughes putting Ward away, probably in the last round. Ward definitely had an extra gear or two himself, but from what I remember of Hughes,he basically had that Utterly Freaky Scary Type of stamina and resilience. :box: :bag: :geek:

I like Ward in this fight-to me, he was a level above Hughes. Over 10 rounds, it's an 8-2 type of decision.
