Hi, John,

Please consider restoring the fighter's birth and death dates to the record page, where they used to appear. They could replace the career range and debut date, both of which are superfluous since one can already see them on that page from the list of bouts. I know the birth/death dates are on the Wiki page, but it would be convenient to also have them on the record page to avoid having to switch pages when one isn't looking to read the full bio. Thanks for all the hard work you put in on the site.

Cheers,

JJC

We do display the dates for deceased fighters, on legal advice we removed the date of birth for all active ones.

John,

The birth/death dates don't appear on the record page, only in the bio on the Wiki link. See, for example, Jack Dempsey's record page:

https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/9009

It would be great if you could restore the look of the record pages to the format used before the changes made in August 2017 (yes, I remember when), including not only the birth/death dates for deceased fighters but, even more importantly, full location data for the bouts. A city without a country, as well as a state in the case of the US, is not very informative. For example, many US states have a town named Washington, so the state is important. If the locations were truncated because of space considerations, you could use the two-letter postal codes for the states (and likewise for Canadian provinces). Please consider it. Thanks!

Hi, John,

Referring back to one of my previous posts, I now realize that the full info is available, but only if the page is viewed in print view. Sorry I forgot about that. If I'm not the only one who doesn't know that, perhaps a line on the record page like "to see full bio and location data, click on print" could be added.

With apologies,

Hello John

Please reconsider your color scheme for displaying wins and losses. The red and green appear identical to my poor colorblind eyes. Deuteranopia is the most common form of color blindness so I'm sure I'm not the only one who has trouble with it.

The whole selling point of BoxRec is that it's an objective, points-based rating system and not just opinion.

Users need to at least have the option of displaying points, otherwise they just have to take BoxRec's word for it.

This kind of restyling goes against colour blind people like me. I can't see anymore clearly who the winner is in a fight. Thank you!

This update has completely removed any possibility of seeing all fights on a certain date. One of the main joys of the site was being able to scroll to any date to see information about fights that I wouldn't know about anywhere else and that's gone now.

Can you make each of the events a dropdown on the date page instead of having to click to a new page for each event? Or add an icon (maybe a trophy) that signifies that the event contains a championship fight.

I, too, would like to see the ratings displayed on the record, rankings, and matchups pages as they were on the previous site.

On the BOUT page for each fight, please include the number KOs next to the fighter record for each fighter like you did before this update.
