I don't know, it's a new problem, how can we tell if a new user is real person or AI bot

Re: Suggestions for BoxRec
I've logged in via FB after initially logging in via email so my full name is my username, not a big problem as I don't eff and jeff on here or start arguments etc but wondered if it was reversible?
Can I modify my son's site on boxrec?
Hi,
My son has an entry on boxrec. Can I upload a photo? How can I get access to the page?
Also, my son's record is missing a bunch of amateur fights. They were all USA Boxing sanctioned.
Son's name: Nicholas Curley
Thanks,
John Curley

Re: Suggestions for BoxRec
Hello, now to write down the score of a fight you must also choose how much difference there is in each round: close, moderate and decisive. Can someone tell me the limitations of each one?

What happened to the Zamarripa vs. Fierro card?

Madame/Sir,
The Romanian Boxing Federation, the only legal Romanian National body to coordinate the boxing activity on the whole territory of the State of Romania, E.U. informs you that starting with the date of the Bucharest Law Court decision , 21.10.2022, the Professional Boxing League is prohibited by its activity until the legal conditions will be fulfilled. The Professional Boxing League is also prohibited to registrate and communicate to the National/International bodies every boxing record.
Please feel free to ask us regarding every boxing issue related to the State of Romania.

Re: Suggestions for BoxRec
Hello,
I notice that recently there has been several Commonwealth Silver title fights and there are many more lined up. It would be useful if this title is added to the records for both male and females. For example, I found it strange that Calvin McCord and Kyle Boyd was a 10 rounder and then when I looked it was for the Commonwealth Silver title. I think the addition of the title would add more context to the records.
Thanks,
Dave

So here's my up-vote, thumbs-up, +1, whatever.conan_the_cribber wrote: ↑13 Feb 2023, 15:43 Hi John,
here are some specific suggestions for the site.
1) Seeing the progression of the fighter's rating used to be possible when looking at their record. There was a pre-bout rating and a post-bout rating. This feature should be made available again, preferably by some sort of setting control.
2) The boxing ranks algorithm should be properly documented. The "read here first" link to the ratings algorithm contains probably about 10% of the information about the algorithm.
3) The p4p lists and the weight class lists should contain the rating numbers.
4) Initially, when the p4p list is displayed the weight class is listed. It would be nice if that was an active link to the respective ratings for that weight class. For example, where is says Tyson Fury, five star, heavy, that the "heavy" would be a hyperlink.
cheers
conan
Implementation-wise 4) should be the easiest and 1) the hardest. Let's start with 4).
I think, 1) needs to be more specific.

Comparison of fighters
Hi boxing fans,
I would like a feature to compare boxers.
So let's compare Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.
They have fought each other, they have common opponents and they have their usual box record.
The comparison should
1) show the profiles with the picture, just like before (OLD), shown side by side
2) list fights against each other (NEW) and
2) list common opponents and (NEW)
3) show the usual box record (OLD).
Here's a picture, how I imagine it (if allowed): https://ibb.co/kDwZ3Bf
And here's some text, how it would look like:
What do you guys think? Does this make sense?
Regards,
Bernhard

Implemented "Comparison of heavyweight fighters". Have a look
Here's my sample implementation on my private server:
http://85.215.48.58/boxrec_bm/downloads ... eight.html
Note: this is a static page, you can only choose the top 50 heavyweight boxers for a comparison.
On the ratings page, you have a button [Enable comparison] above the ratings table.
Klick on it, and the ratings table get some checkboxes, where you can check the first and second boxer you want to compare. Klick on the button on top of the table again and you will be redirected to the comparison page, e.g.
http://85.215.48.58/boxrec_bm/downloads ... Id2=659461
The purpose of this sample page is just a suggestion to BoxRec on how to implement a comparison page.
In case you like it, this would be a starting point for further discussion. The page is not meant to be complete or even bug-free.
My page is restricted to the top 50 heavyweight boxers (that I've downloaded manually from the boxrec page).
The page is not here to stay and it does not use any boxrec resources.
Have fun!

Hello, Boxrec

The photo does not correspond to Pietro Cerù. It is his rival Perico Fernández who appears in the photo. Greetings
Congratulations for your work

Why are Misfits Boxing pro bouts considered a separate category to regular pro boxing bouts?

Опубликуйте результат боя Анхель Аяла Лардисабаль - Феликс Альворадо . Написано бой 10 раундов. А в букмекерских конторах 12 раундов. Кому верить?
