He ain’t a skinny 112 lber. The dude can fight. Would love to see him make a p4p run, but how big is this little guy? Could he cut to straw?

He is listed as 5’2” and 63” reach on wiki. More importantly, he is not p4p material. Enjoy his fights while he lasts. Martinez is a pure brawler who ignores defense which means he will go out on his shield eventually, likely in the not too distant future.

The commentators said at his age he’s not at his peak. But he’s in the smaller weights and he’s 24 or 26 years old, I can’t remember.

Isn’t that smaller guy peak?

He could improve, but how he fights is a quick way to racking up milage.
Entertaining for sure, but I'm not convinced about his longevity, which is what you need to cement a decent career.

Isnt good enough to make a near p4p run. But i want to see him get whatever fight he wants win lose or draw. H is a bit of a babic to me (although clearly better) he just goes in and trades heavy leather. But i think he is too relient on his left hook and that when he fights someone that can whack and box he is in a bit of trouble.

that was the worst ive ever seen him, he usually puts together flowing combinations and focuses on the body rather than head hunting with wild single shots. defo capable of better than he was vs arroyo, and of course he was on the verge of stopping arroyo within 3-4 rounds anyway

i think nakatani might beat him but id take him over all the other flys

I mean he’s got a bit of ring rust (or at least that’s the case vs good competition). He was getting into the flow vs Arroyo when the fight got stopped. Would’ve put him away.

ya that could defo be it, hit some snags in his career lately due to all those cancellations/pull outs etc

and of course arroyo aint bad or anything like that, beat cuadras and never been stopped by ioka, roman ,etc.....but jcm looked sure to do it and pretty quickly too. kid definitely got some fire power

My OP/thread title was maybe not clear. I’m more interested in if anyone has a take on his actual physical size. Looks like he’s not a beanpole at 112 and I legit wonder if he makes much of a cut to that weight. He’s a little dude.

looks stocky carries muscle physically upper body looks big , but he looks tiny in height which i guess helps . i think he is alright at the weight
