The problem with the Morrison brothers is that they are so damn inactive it's not even funny. But my personal view on it is it's better to lose early on in your career rather than much later.
Billy Conn lost six matches in his first fourteen fights, so you can't really ever write anybody off if they are willing to get better and keep on trying.

Well, I don't think anyone expected much but he was just unbeaten and was Tommy's son so there was a bit of hype.

That was actually quite similar to how his dad got KO'd vs Mercer - one too many uppercuts.
I as actually watching Morrison vs Foreman the other night - a real underrated fight that one.

That's exactly what I thought. Not quite as brutal though.
The Foreman fight was allegedly the only time Morrison trained properly (No beer no women.) I thought Foreman would catch him as Morrison faded. But Tommy boxed beautifully that fight.

Well, if you look at the heavyweight division as a whole beyond the top 10 or 20 in the world it really is a wide open division that can be taken on fairly easily. I don't think you have to really be the most talented person out there to really rise through the rankings in the heavyweight division.
Looking at the BoxRec for Trey he fought twice before this year but took all of 2020 off. He certainly let himself get out of shape. He was in the 220's in his two previous bouts but came in 236 for this, which is obviously too much.
As for Kenzie, he's still undefeated at 19-0-2, but he's fighting strictly tiersmen and journeymen. But I don't like this trend of gaining weight because in his last fight he was 246 pounds, when the bulk of his career was under 220.
If they are to be successful they need to trim down in weight and find themselves better trainers and start taking fights elsewhere, because they have largely been attractions in Oklahoma and nowhere else. Big fish in a small pond.
No offense to fighters coming out of Oklahoma but generally speaking there's nobody really out there to learn from because they are all the same quality. You can go unbeaten rather easily in places like that, because the quality of opposition whether they have winning records or losing records is pretty poor or average.
Of course then again maybe they only want to be regional or local celebrities and not really nationwide or international celebrities. But from the outside looking in it does look like rather poor management decisions and horrible matchmaking combined with laxidasical training.
If I was the Morrison brothers I would get back down to 220 or 215 and try to make a run at the bridgerweight division because quite frankly it's a wide open field because it is people who are not good enough to be great cruiserweights or good heavyweights.
