NEW YORK, NY- At today's Press conference in New York, Don King announced that all 4 heavyweight fights (V.Klitschko- Rahman, Byrd- W.Klitscho, Ruiz- Toney, and Brewster- Golota) would be the 1st round of the Heavyweight tournement.

King also said that Byrd has been offerd $3million, to fight Wladimir in Germany.

But he doesnt have the Klitschko's or Toney under contract does he? If they win that fucks up his plan surely??

The Klitschkos made a deal with King so that Wladimir can fight Byrd, should Wladimir win, King will have options on him. And I guess they also know that its their only chance for unification.

I think Byrd might beat Wlad this time, if he can hang in there a few rounds Wlad will fall apart mentally.

Of all the fights the two most interesting ones are the Ruiz Toney fights and the Brewster Golota fight. those are the two whidch are most likely to see the title change hands.

Nice Quarter-Final line up! Only 'The Don' could put something like this together.

V.Klitschko will come through as the undisputed champ.. even though I believe he is the real Heavyweight champ now this will be a good way to silence the critics.

When (perhaps it should be if) Don goes there will be a great big hole and I actually think the sport will be worse off.

If this is a tournament, then doesn't it mean there's a chance the two brothers could fight each other?

fornicate, they did it, they realy sold their souls to the devil. Wladi said on Saturday that his next fight is for sure in Germany and not vs Byrd because he doesn´t want to fight here. But if Wladi would lose vs Byrd his career will be finished anyway. against who then will he win a title?

I don't blame Byrd if he doesn't want to defend his title in Germany, from what he said in his interview recently, there were all sorts of goings on before the fight. Boxing can be a very dirty business, and fighting in your opponent's back yard is often a very trying experience.

a bit harsh to say Wlad has sold his soul to the devil.... he was left with no choice of getting back into the big time.....

He really should have had a rematch clause in the contract with Brewster.

Now King has all the belts except WBC (wlad as we know, wont fight his brother) Wlad has no where else to go.

Don is a smart man, you get the belts then you get the boxers too

You have to say what has Wlad done to earn his shot? At least Golota had a very close fight with Byrd and Ruiz. Golota is still world class. Let's see if Wlad fights as well against Byrd as he did when his confidence was sky high.

Yes quite, scraping by his last fight on a technicality, getting torpedoed by Sanders and Lamon Brewster, and of course a victory of 'Fatio Moli' means he's a fighter on the up.

I give Byrd a shot this time around. It will certainly arouse some suspicion if Byrd's eyes puff up like two fondant fancies again.

High I am not. Wlad's confidence is shot to fornicate, if Byrd can see out a few rounds Wlad will probably burn up all his energy shitting himself and get stopped late. Lets not forget he knocked himself out beating up Brewster for 4 rounds before keeling over.

As long as he doesnt vaseline his legs I guess he will be ok. ;)

This is a totally different fight to Wlad v Byrd I.

What sort of date are we looking at for all this? I am seriously considering going, despite the weak Heavyweight division it sounds like a fantastic night of Boxing all round with most of the contenders all fighting together.

It's not all one night, surely? I would have thought it'd be spread out a while to try and earn enough cash to pay the fighters involved. I've already heard talk that Wlad-Byrd could be in Germany (Although I very much doubt Byrd would agree to that again).

Although, if it all is to be on one card, I'd seriously consider the trip.
