I spoke to Lovemore on Sunday night from LA.

Haven't seen Witter fight but he sounds capable, from what I've read. N'Dou is no slouch so the fight sounds like it's going to be a cracker

A lot of the credit N'Dou got from the Cotto fight is from those overhand rights. Witter's defence is hugely removed from Cotto's and I don't think N'Dou will land them, and also he'll get countered when he throws them anyway.

Witter doesn't stop N'Dou but wins, in part because he has to.

What worries me about Witter, is that he hangs his chin high when throwing power shots, I think Witter will come home on points, but will have a couple of shakey moments along the way. Mostly in the first couple of rounds

I'm reading Lovemore has pulled out.

Can anyone confirm this and why?

Nightmare.........3 days to go and he pulls out?! Can't see much about it but it doesn't sound good for Witter and co.

Really hope Mick H has someone decent on the backburner - it always seemed a little up in the air, so maybe he does?

In his original PR he stated he had a quality replacement in place if he needed it and did stress they ONLY had verbal agreement.

Would be an excellent replacement. I see he's due to fight on Friday, so he'll be in shape. Very tough hombre, as they say down south, and is on a winning run since the Cotto fight.

good replacement but poor match, if we criticse hatton for fighting the likes of pederson then bezan is no different.

just short of world class lightweights.

His trainer is Angelo Hyder who is part of Team Fenech.

I wrote Billy and Jeff in the question and he replied Billy and Angelo Hyder. I had to confirm the Hyder bit, then asked the editor to insert Hyder and he's put it in two places instead of the requested one.

If that makes sense.

Yes however, Bezan is very short notice replacement Rios was not. Pedersen was I seem to recall though.

Bezan is better than Pedersen and Rios, he WAS a former geniune world champion and is not over the hill. He showed ambition in the Cotto fight but was outgunned, but there not many fighters who wouldn't be against the Peurto Rican.

Hard to see who they could have gotten who would have been a better replacement who would be prepared to take the fight at short notice.

just making an observation james, pederson has vbeen used as "fornicate hatton is fighting lightweights" by some on here, be interesting to see what they say in return.

whats worrying is this was a real test against ndou for witter and a chance for him to impress, now he needs to ko bezan impressivley to make any waves.

Vilchez is #11 and was due to fight in a fortnight and has won since his loss to Hatton. If Witter stopped him there would be PR mileage in that.

Steve Forbes #8, fought last in December.

Yes, the press releases thus far from Hennessy say nothing of the sort, and it's possible N'dou is just sabre rattling for more money.

It was the rematch clause he wasn't keen on when I spoke to him.

The PPV is now confirmed for the bout in the UK, that could make him think the pot is bigger.
