article in boxing news about a possible comeback after different treatment for his shoulder injury, always rated him as a real talent.might be too late for him but would be nice to see him fight injury-free

I saw the Francis v Barney fight and Francis almost did enough with one arm. Had he thrown maybe half a dozen rights he would have beaten Barney.

I thought he did do enough in the fight...a fully fit Francis would have beaten Barney. Dean Francis looked great the night he beat Cornelius Carr but it all seemed to go wrong.

Yeah I saw that in BN last week. Always liked Francis for some reason, big talent if he gets his head ( and arm ) sorted.

The thing that struck me in Claude's piece, if he feels the shoulder when popping a cork, it ain't looking good already.

Dean is a world class talent if he can get it sorted, he might be about the 31 now, but is a young 31 with all of the inactivity.

I hope Dean has had some inspiration from Eamomn Magee.

Is that the guy who was once stopped by a body shot while Spencer Oliver banged on the canvas screaming at him to get up?

I vaguely remember that.

Francis was the complete article before his arm popped out, i would rate him far above Calzaghe.

I really can't see his shoulder holding out. In the interview he didn't say he had any treatment on it, just having rested it. If he already says he can feel it when he pops a cork , what will happen when he misses with a shot and over extends it?

He was a world class talent , but i don't think he really showed the full set of skills he had, I would love him to get back to something like he was, but i just can't see it happening.

I've had a bad knee for years due to footy, i've spent the last couple of years slowly building it up and doing running and training on it. Went back to playing this season, i lasted 20 minutes before the knee went. Training is alot different than playing.

i dont know what deans injury is but it sounds like a dislocated shoulder. I had dislocated my left shoulder 20 odd times before finally recieving surgery, and mine was so bad that it almost came out if I so much as flinched, even since surgery I dont think I could ever properly box with it.

I feel sorry for him and if he hasnt already had it, he desperately needs an operation.Poor guy, because I remember seeing the fight with barney and he looked so pissed off after the fight because of his shoulder, he was in great shape and almost beat him armed.

I think you mean super-feather Dean Pithie mate. Francis got stopped on his feet against Ballugou, not badly hurt just thrown in too early and ran out of gas.
