Well, they weren't under-achieving, they simply were mediocre. Gonzalez seemed to be better, I'd pick him.

problem with JLG was being arrogant enough think he did not need a pro trainer while Samson had problems keeping his weight down. weird trying to pick between the fat kid who was humble and the guy who thought he was top 10 before even going pro

big jorge takes this, with his probing jabbing style from the outside. i think he was a fair bit better than samson, just was not nearly sturdy enough vs good opposition and a bit lazy. samson though was even lazier and out of shape all the time, and beating barely low level journeymen and lost to them too
