It saddens me when a fight such as this is billed a 'world' title fight. We only have to look at Steve Foster's WBU title fight with Livinson Ruiz a week or so ago to see the kind of fare we're going to be served up. Foster-Ruiz was one of the most unpleasant fights I have ever seen. Ruiz took everything in the face and would have been spared a horrible knockout had he been fighting Foster as he should have been - in an eight-rounder.
The Board should oust the WBU and the IBO.

hide left britain a few years back before skelton was even a factor is the brit scene.....

That poster actually reminds me a little of a poster I saw years ago for an unlicenced fight between Lenny McLean and 'Man Mountain' York.

The tag-line went something like "I'm 6ft7in 24st and 24 years old Lenny McLean has had his day"

The late McLean won by KO2 for those who care.

Come on chaps. Mr Warren is a promoter, it's his job to dress mutton up as lamb if it will help him sell it.

People constantly give him grief about the quality of his shows and how he is overly protective of his fighters; but nobody is game enough to knock him of his perch (like he did to Duff).

Plus, you folks who slag him off still tune in and watch his shows, or buy tickets and go to them. Surely that makes you hypocrites?

I respect him for what he is, the best boxing promoter in the land.

No coincidence, Frank first started out promoting the likes of mclean, i believe he actually started as a runner and flyer boy for mcleans fights but was later given responsibility for organising the fights.
