Typicall.
I was so looking forward to that. When I heard the news that Witter was taking on N'Dou, it made my day.

I got it from an impeccable source, perhaps David is right but I'm genuinely led to believe it is on after several problems.
We shall see.
Hope so as I was looking forward to N'dou beating him

What a brat is this N'Dou.
Besides, even with no WBC eliminator, this is an opporunity for N'Dou to gain more credibility. Witter would be a good scalp for him and lets be honest, N'Dou needs WINS over world class fighters, so far, he is thought of as a good LOSER isn't he!?
So Witter may not be a huge draw in America, people are starting to wake up to him, and a win over Witter could earn him a title shot in the future anyway.
True, Witter needs this fight more, but it's not like there is nothing for N'Dou to gain. It's not as if N'Dou is going to be beating anyone in the top 5 any time soon. He will do what he always does, put up a good fight, but lose.
Who cares about the alphebet titles anymore anyway?

This fight still might happen. Mick Hennessy may change the re-match clause which is a bit farcical anyway....why would N'dou wanna fight Witter again if he wins.
I don't beleive N'dou has flown home yet so we may see a new contract but whatever happens the WBC aren't gonna change their minds.
Would be a great shame if this didn't happen...

Its on Boxingtalk and N'Dou said it was because its only for the Commonwealth belt and not an eliminator for a big belt. Who the fornicate does N'Dou think he is? He's made his name by being durable and LOSING fights. Now he wants this fight to put him in position for a title shot? Sounds like he's scared and wants more money.

Why would N'Dou think beating Witter grants him title shot position?!

He's delusional. I remember after he fought Cotto he kept going on about how he would have won if Cotto hadn't broke his rib with a left hook, like it was against the rules or something.

by jamesmcdonnell
No, you've got that wrong. He carried a rib injury into the fight, and had a short preparation time. He actually broke one of cotto's ribs early in the fight....

Well Cotto's punches certainly wouldn't have helped that. He trashtalks a bit as well. He should just step up to the plate. He may never get another opportunity like this.

Broke cottos rib, surely he couldnt fight on with a broken rib, terrible pain.

I am over in LA now, spoke to the people who handle Ndou in Austrailia who came over with him for the fight.I asked them what the problem wth Ndou was the answer was "Ndou watched a video of Witter and realised he could fight" basically they and Fenech were really pissed that Ndou wasnt taking the fight.Basically he has shit his self.

Christ is that genuin, that is poor form, if you are going to talk a fight like N'dou alwys seems to then you should back it up.
That is a great shame for Witter he has that problem of being a good figher but representing the "who needs him club"

Why the hell did N'dou wait till now to call the fight off. Poor Junior, people must be absolutely terrified of him. He needed this fight more than any other, lets hope Mr Hennessy can pull off another miracle.

Firstly, why is Branco still in the picture? He bottled the fight with Junior and should have blown his chance. He has already had his shot and done nothing since. This should be an eliminator with the winner fighting Gatti in May is Floyd is unavailable. I think by beating the other fighter they will have deserved it.
Secondly, how amateur is it not to have contracts sorted and signed last week? Surely the rematch clause can be taken out? If Witter loses then I think his world level ambitions are finished so a chance of revenge is irrelevant.

It's not the rematch clause thats the main problem.
Its the fact the WBC wont see the fight as an elimator.. so there is no chance for this fight to get back on.
