So Frank’s done an interview today as has said the BBBC aren’t letting there be any U.K. boxing in January. Also said that he won’t have any shows until March now so that’s close to 3 months with no U.K. fights for his stable.

If true re: January I think it’s a big overreaction. I completely agreed with the previous ban on boxing but given hospital levels it seems OTT now.

Also not sure why they couldn’t look to do shows without an audience and why Frank’s no longer planning any Feb shows either.

I think it's a logistic as opposed to covid issue. Staff NHS absenteeism is going up and up. Might struggle to get the doctors/paramedics

You can possibly add February to that. And Adam Smith said today that they want crowds for their shows too. So the 3 big Sky Shows are now seriously under threat.

After his last two shows I'm not really that fussed.
The cards were pretty dire, the events long, running over time and drawn out.
Maybe he can use this time out assessing and addressing what the fans want.

Not surprising. 4 Drs at most TV shows, plus paramedics, 2 ambulances etc..bound to struggle getting a commitment from these people for January. Hospital admissions might not look that high at the moment but it’s creeping up, and staffing absences way higher than last year..
Let’s hope it’s just January..which is probably Boxing’s quietest month anyway..

Totally disagree with your assessment of the Yarde - Arthur card, no issue with that opinion on most of his other events.

Totally disagree with your assessment of the Yarde - Arthur card, no issue with that opinion on most of his other events.

It was his best card of the year I think. The main event was a fairly even fight on paper, Sam Noakes had an opponent that came to win, Fox was put in with Sokolowski which is a good fight in my book for any heavyweight prospect and the co-main was far more competitive than I was expecting (I was expecting Sheeraz to hammer Skeete).

I didn’t think much of the Itauma fight or the McCann fight but compared to some of Frank’s other shows it was a lot better.

It dragged on for ages. Big lulls between the fights. And apart from the main event, and to a lesser degree the Skeete fight the rest was meh. Fox proved he needs serious work, the rest of the card were knockovers, Fox should have been too.

I agree with your dragging out comment but it was still his best show of the year for me.

Also agree that it wasn’t as good as several other shows in December but compared to the bulk of his others this year it was fairly good.

But one of the worst for December that I personally watched.
