That was before either was the champ and it was not for 15 rounds. What would have happened? Hard to say. I would lean towards Mustapha, but would have been rooting for Saad Muhammad. Would have been a very good fight.

Ooh.Ok. I didn't read thorough
I too would go for Saad. I was a huge fan. Even after he lost to Braxton I took a bet from a friend for the rematch. I knew he was shot and probably would lose but hope against hope I took the bet. He lost again quicker.
Before the decline over 15 rds I would think as good as Mustafa was,Saad would gut it out for a close decision

I would go with Eddie. Better boxer, and I don’t think he’d go to sleep - like he did some times - against a guy like Saad. Mustafa UD

In their rematch, either Mustafa or Saad Muhammad would take a decision after 15 rounds of war. If Eddie fought Matthew would fought Qawi in their first fight, then Mustafa would out-box Saad Muhammad for a decision, but a prime version of Saad Muhammad fought Mustafa in their rematch, then he would have a chance to avenge his earlier loss by decisioning Mustafa.
