i seriously thought bout buying this when it cam eout but owould have meant i cancelled going to singapoire and oz, it was 3 k for an unsigned copy and 7 for a signed i remember.

35 k is way OTT.

At the time it was produced, you could buy one ( signed/stamped ) for EU7,500.

I went to see the launch at Frankfurt during the book fair. Ali was there and the place was mobbed. They reckon 10,000 people tried to get in.

It does make you realise that while others may be seen as better fighters than Ali, he was the greatest. No other fighter could have that effect

I would need to go to the gym for a while before I could turn the pages!

What a pointless purchase, a book which is too big to keep anywhere, too heavy to move, and too big to sit and read in bed. What on earth would you do with it? Better of buying a load of big fight posters for 10th of the cost.

you are looking at it from only one point of view

It's like saying "why by wine en primeur when you are not going to drink it?"

Some products have a life outside of their normal usage

If it really is now going for £35,000 ( which I doubt anyone would pay ) then EU7,500 (£4500) is a pretty good investment

Of couse, I am aware that someone has bought it as an investment. Will someone really pay that much for something which is only a year old for 10 times the price? How much will it ever be worth, I dare say if you buy it for £35k as an investment, you aren't going to get much of a return.

Then, I would argue that that is, if you have the cash, a very decent deal.

The seller will make a nice 35% margin and the purchaser will have an investment that will still have legs.

He is selling 5, though. He is starting the auction at 30 grand (this is his reserve - I believe). That's 6 grand each. You must buy all 5.

Sorry. My post went for a minute, Slapsie. I deleted it and re-read the auction to make sure I hadn't messed up.

oh thats not bad at all, when ali sadly passes away youre sat on a gold mine, i thought it was for one, sorry.
