Ryad Merhy vs. Evgeny Tischchenko: WBA Title Clash on March 26 in Ekaterinburg

WBA cruiserweight king, Belgian Ryad Merhy (30-1), will defend the title on March 26 in Ekaterinburg, Russia, against Evgeny Tischchenko (9-1) with RCC and 12Rounds co-promoting the event.

Tischchenko won Gold in the Rio Olympics 2016, but suffered an upset loss to Thabiso Mchunu last year but has since, according to RCC, changed trainer and his approach to training.

tisch boxed like he didnt want it vs mchunu, no desire or willingness to take chances when he fell behind. not sure he's hard enough for this level in the pros tbh

Intriguing matchup. Both are beatable enough, looked good against mediocre opposition and failed their biggest tests.
