None of them, except maybe if he fought each 10 times he might fluke a win now and again.

He was a 4 round novelty act. He was never near a world title. It was fun to watch at times, but Peter McNeeley was probably his best 90s win, which says everything,

one thing i will say though, ive read/heard of decent guys sparring him, and the consensus was that he actually could punch a bit.

I do agree all would stand him on his head but heavyweight boxing and the 1 punch scenario

There was a fun Boxing Monthly article on former Butterbean opponents back in the day. Pretty much they were all semi-professional no hopers really. He’s not beating any proper fighters.

the wwf was experimenting a bit with real fighting for a while. bart gunn easily won a tournament with wwf guys legit boxing each other, beating all the others by stoppage, and based on that got to fight bean at wrestlemania.

so gunn was actually one of the tougher ones. there have been a number of wwf/wwe guys with legit college wrestling experience who did or could make good mma fighters, but not so many trained with dem hands

it was early !

I actually saw him fight once and I was suprised that for such an out of shape guy, he could put his shots together and did have a dig.
Nevertheless we have to be realistic here, he would have been easily handled by the domestic class fighters such as John McDermott, imagine how things would have gone against better boys.

The currently unwell Mark Porter beat up the end of the line Butterbean - 430 pounds! - in Blackpool of all places in an unlicensed match in 2008. Eric looked like a heart attack on legs.

I remember when I first joined the forum in the early 2000s and boxrec records had some other additional info at times. On Butterbeans record there were fights that had ‘knockout punch visibly didn’t land’ underneath several of his knockout wins.

james thompson was fun as f@ck to watch, big strong chinny guy who came to brawl. he messed up kimbo and nearly ko'd him before getting his ear basically detached from his head
