just read this against barrera in an exhibition, can't argue with this one as they're pretty friendly and remember barrera walking hatton to the ring for a fight if memory serves me right

fornicating hell, can you imagine how bad his timing is going to be now? He was missing Senchenko with counters by a country mile, and that was 9 years ago

Campbell exclusively told World Boxing News: “I don’t think my dad would consider a comeback in the way Nigel Benn is talking about doing.
“He has worked hard, proved himself in the ring, and now he can enjoy his retirement.
“Also, he had his comeback fight a few years ago (a loss to Vyacheslav Senchenko in 2012 after a three-year absence.) to give it one last go.
“Now he’s come to terms with retirement where he is achieving new things in the sport as a coach.”
Should Hatton vs. Barrera come to fruition, it’s not out of this world to think Campbell could fight on the undercard to create history in a father and son capacity.

Lee Haskins and his lad were the first British fighters to do it. Real bouts too.

Who are the target audience for an exhibition like this? I get the appeal of Mike Tyson to a new generation of casuals but not Hatton and MAB. They are not iconic figures. Two old flabby men shuffling around a ring in a staged contest expecting to be paid a fortune. They've had their chance, put the slippers on and leave the casual spend for the next generation to pocket.

Hatton looks like a heart attack waiting to happen. How has Barrera weathered? One of my all time favourites... I'd watch out of morbid curiosity, but no chance my hand will be going in my pocket for this.

I can see why they would want to do it, it's a goal, something to get up in the morning for, working towards an achievement - they would both do well to make middleweight but who's going to watch it? And more importantly, who would pay them the kind of money to make it worthwhile?
Jake Paul has opened up possibilities with all of this (as has womens boxing, seniors tours etc) say goodbye to the sport we once knew, it was good once.

The target audience is the same people who watched Hatton and MAB fight in their prime. Once we die out it will be over or more likely whatever Jake Paul wants it to be.
