I remember reading that they found him dead in the parking lot of the Apartment complex that he was living in
(still in his pajamas)
and that he lived on the second floor.
and had presumably jumped himself.
How many floors were there at the Apartment complex ?

or maybe the pajamas were "Polka Dots"
( which were big in the early to mid 1960's,especially multi-coloured polka dots)

Meant to comment on this earlier. It was interesting. Machen was an interesting guy.
