His technique is incredibly good for his experience level. I’m bugging out even more, here. This kid is the fkin definition of well schooled.

Angles with his feet. Stepping outside then back in, landing his jab from all angles there and in between. And that jab, the consistency of it, without patterns being set* Variety with his shots, his setups and feints. The compactness and conciseness, the lack of wasted energy. The way he uses his left hand with such versatility as a defensive tool, parrying straight right hands like they’re jabs or curling it around to catch the left hook. *the way he never seems to set a pattern, he’s always triggering his opponent with something and it’s never the same thing twice. He can fight outside and mid range and inside. He does moves I just want to replay and replay and replay, and he does quite a lot of them.

He just does these little sideways shuffle steps to either side when he is just-about-barely-out-of-range then catches whatever he wants off the angle created once he’s edged into range, mostly jab when he steps inside and left hand out, mostly*. This kids the fkin bomb. I’m so glad. Choco and Estrada getting old. Need me my little-dude-fight-any-muthafckr man crushes.

*i said that sh1t about no patterns already. He does little tap from above jabs when stepping outside, sometimes. But mostly he lands it more from the inside position. Left hand he lands nearly even. Loves that left uppercut to the body off the outside position.

ya he was really nice, did everything in there and was always doing something productive in some way, not really wasting anything. was a beatdown tbh, i want to see him fight sor next, who was the original opponent for cuadras

But, like 14 fights or whatever? That wasn’t ‘nice’ for 14 fights. That was nearly ‘wtf’? A lot of those 14 fight prodigy types (*generalisation incoming*) seem to get by on the freaky talent at that point. He comprehensively out skilled and out generalled a veteran without ever looking like he had a physical edge.
