not even close, he has beat one consensus top 10 fighter his entire career

very good fighter but not done nearly enough

rank his wins

1. porter

then what? i really rate him at his peak too, but he didnt put together the results for the hof

No

Joke of a career. 40 wins, only one is actually any good. Wasted his career fighting bums like Donut Dan and Frankie Gavin.

That's a tough argument to put him in to the HOF.

I think a major problem with Kell is that a lot of Welterweights didn't actually want to face him. Remember when he was World Champion> Even when he seemed to struggle to get good opposition. A lot of the contenders at Welter and Light Welter had their eyes on the prize and wanted the mega-money fights against Floyd and Manny, so I think that is definitely a factor that impacted him.

Maybe they thought of it as a high-risk, low-reward kind of fight where if they lost... He ruined their chances of facing Floyd or Manny.

And when a top challenger did step up to face Kell (Errol Spence Jr) it happened to be the most exciting young prospect in America, who all the yanks were raving about...

Kell did lose, but it was always to very strong, top opposition and that it to his credit...

Not even close. Had one big win, three big losses and not much else in between. Overall a career that most boxers out there would be proud of but not hall of fame worthy.

No.

His best win is Porter, which was also disputed as well, most probably did have Brook winning.

That's it..

His title reign was crap and weak.

2014-08-16 - Beat Porter
2015-03-28 - Jo Jo Dan (Mandatory)
2015-05-30 - Frankie Gavin
2016-03-26 - Kevin Bizier (Mandatory)
2016-09-10 - Gennadiy Golovkin (non-title at 160)
2017-05-27 - Errol Spence (Mandaroty)
-------------------

The IBF weak mandatory's which are known for didn't help apart from when it was Spence.

There was a gap between defences, but he was stabbed in that time and there was another injury.

He was supposed to fight Diego Chavez in a voluntary same time as Wlad/Fury 1. Brook pulled out due to a rib injury in sparring.

He was also scheduled to fight Jesse Vargas around Summer/Fall of 2016 in UK.. Purses were set, but then Brezit apparently messed this was up due to exchange rates etc. Vargas insead fought Pacman in Nov and Brook used Eubank's pen to fight GGG in September.

So had he fought Chavez and Vargas and beaten them? Would that have made his reign better? Of course.
-----------

I don't think he was ever serious at 154, he was never going to challenge those guys. Rabchnka was a good start, but then Brook choose to weigh in 150 against Zerafa and got taken the distance in a dull fight. Didn't fight at all in 2019.

Domestic level he did really well, British HOF he's a first ballot.

He was a world class boxer yes. I think he stayed at 147 too long, but t the same time, he probably knew he wouldn't be a success at 154+

God no.

Maybe the UK version, if there is one... But I think that would be a push.

Kell has had one of the most frustrating careers I've followed.
He could have been in with some top lads for years.

Not a hope.

His best win is Porter, his second best is against Khan, who has lost most of his speed.

Khan has a better resume to get in the BHOF but I don't think either warrant entry

Not even close for Brook.

I could see Khan making a British one.

This must be a joke question.

Beating Shawn Porter by a split decision and stopping a washed up Khan does not a Hall of Famer make.

Brook was massively talented but the move up to fight GGG spelled the end for him.

The irony is that Eddie Hearn, who presumably advised Kell to take the GGG fight, will get into the HoF.

Funny thing with the Porter fight. The ONLY British judge had it a draw.

It’s wasn’t exactly a fight to remember either.

It was a shite fight and could have gone either way.

Brook in the Hall of Fame ? :shame: :shame: :shame:

The Khan victory is flattering him. The manner of the Crawford loss is accurate.

He's got more chance of being the next leader of the taliban.

Had the talent, I still maintain prime Brook hangs with the best of his era including the versions of Mayweather and Pacquiao that were around at that time, he should've been world champ a few years before he beat Porter but no never in HOF

the porter fight was rather uneventful, but part of that was brook nullifying porter. defo a clear kell win for me, agreed with the 8-4 card

ya i do really rate his talent and think with different matchmaking he had what it takes to at least make an argument. but, the way it played out he's nowhere near the hof

knan, despite imo never being as good as brook and losing their h2h, has more of a case with stronger wins and bigger usa popularity, which carries sway with the electors it seems

Brooks a party animal he never took the game as seriously as Floyd and the other great fighters of his prime years. Hence why now he’s been beaten by the best he’s faced. Fantastic talent at his peak. Nowhere near a HOF career.

Not even close. Scalps of Porter and Khan are all he got. Those two aren't close either.
