Jack Catterall

Another bad night for boxing. The judges need reprimanding as their conduct is nothing short of criminal. The actions of these judges is that outrageous that it boils down to deception IMO. The problem is nobody wants to get involved until they are on the receiving end of this behaviour. Boxing took a major knock last night & the boxing community need to pull together & demand action. Jack Catterall should have woken up this morning as undisputed champion of the world & nobody has the right to take that away from him NOBODY

Jack should have closed out the show.
Knowing how crooked boxing is, why give the last 4 rounds away, including a 10-8?
Asking for trouble and that's what he got.
We all know he won the fight, but going missing for the last third has bitten him on the arse.
Poor sod must be gutted

Stop victim blaming.
He easily won that fight and got ripped.

If someone coasts in the last 3rd knowing they have done enough and picks up a 10-9 or 10-8 in the process then why shouldn't they? All this he coasted or he didn't do enough in the last 3rd is fvking BS he won the god damn fight no matter what he done in the last 3rd and Taylor needs to go to specsavers if he thinks he won that fight because in teh whole arena only him and 2 judges thought the same,it's all too corrupt.

He didnt win the fight though did he. If he didn`t coast the last 3rd then he would have won the fight.
You gotta play the game. the game is bent, but it´´s not like we dont know that.
If he hadn`t coasted the last third he wins the fight, period.
de la Hoya made the same mistake

Dont know what victim blaming means.
Bottom line, if Catterall hadnt been holding and doing very little else in the last third he wins the fight.
Catterall threw this away.

I just read the boxing news article about Catterall in the latest issue. Feel even more gutted for him. I hope he gets a massive career and money boost from this.

Catteral threw it away? That’s bobbins.
Jack started fighting from round 1 and it takes a special fighter to be able to have that intensity for 36 mins.
Of course he’s going to slow down when Taylor come on; Taylor is a world class operator.
It’s not like Catteral went into a shell. He was just less effective against a much bigger and fit fighter.
Jack won that. Clearly.

Taylor threw it away by getting outboxed.

He was robbed we all know that but i agree he stopped trying to win in the last 3rd of the fight and went holding and wrestling , he gave them the excuses they needed ,, said it on a previous post Taylor did'nt win that fight Catteral lost it , In fact i think if he really went for it he could off possibly stopped Taylor

You’re assuming the refs would have given Jack any rounds he would have won in the final 4???

He’s well up on the scorecards. Has more than enough points in the bank to win if he stays on his feet.
He is perfectly entitled to stay out of trouble and win on points. Say he goes for it and gets tagged/caught.
You’d all be saying he took unnecessary risks.

Finally some sense. Boxing isn’t like a PlayStation game. It’s incredibly difficult to fight for 36 mins hard and Taylor was probably 5/6kgs heavier and he come on later in the fight.
Catteral didn’t just go super negative and throw rounds away. I had Jack winning the 9th close and the 11th was 9-9.
Hardly chucking it away. The 12th could’ve gone either way as well.

The WBO will become vacant soon and looking at their rankings I’ll guess Jack’s next fight will be world title fight.
Their number 2 is Liam Paro.
I’d fancy Jack there.

Probably 100k max compared to a couple of million for defending the unified belts.....

Yep. Horrible isn’t it.
Imagine getting motivated to box on if you’re Jack Catteral.

lol, reading all your posts on this the only rounds of the fight were the last 4
never mind taylor getting his arse boxed off for about 8 of them, never mind him getting dropped...not sure why anyone would trust the likes of IJL to give cat the fight even if he'd ended stronger anyway. agree with the other posters, its just trying to excuse a bad decision

The last 4 rounds? Taylor got a point deducted in one of them rounds so that's a 10-9 to Jack isn't it?

The rond JT got deducted the point for the body punch after the round, I had that 9-9..
It was s stupid move. The ref had a mare that night, but he was in no mood for anything.. Was a really messy fight as well, but entertaining as well.

Why should it be 10-9 to Jack?
If Taylor won the round, which he clearly did, then it's 9-9

Why is that ref allowed to officiate at that level.
We want to see boxing, not the Marcus Mcdonald show. He was far too involved

these late rounds taylor could still barely land a clean shot, it was hardly like he was putting it on cat hard, you could easily give some of these to catt too.
taylor just could not solve cat's defense, the low southpaw crouch totally befuddled him

Catterall advisors were idiots for never never getting any side step money when he side stepped last year, easy 6 figures. Catterall was working a job before this fight, maybe the extra money and training full time could had made the difference in stopping Taylor.

Yeh, 10 point must system.. Taylor won that round IMO so 10-9 for Taylor. then take the 1 point off him makes it 9-9.

That was very stupid.. You'd think.. The fact that he was out all that time as well..
Side money can tie you over without even having to fight.
