Tossup between Ali and Shannon Briggs.

Best KO Frazier and that’s his defining win. His come from behind KO of Ron Lyle is second.

Best fighter faced Ali, with Holyfield a close second.

Best win? Frazier 1 or Moorer. Or Norton.

GF shocked the world in Jamaica. He showed it was no fluke against Norton, and Moorer speaks for itself.

Yeh, they were complete different boxers.. My error. I mentioned Jimmy Young on the lower lost, as he lost to him.

Don't read too much in the names I've written.

For example, his best KO, you might pick one from his earlier fights.

Best wins: Frazier, Lyle, Norton and Moorer. If I had to pick just one of those I'd say Moorer because it made history.
Best Opponent: Muhammad Ali

The Moorer fight made history because Foreman was so old. It is the answer for a great trivia question.
The Lyle fight was a fun fight to watch and showed that Foreman had a lot of heart.

The demolition of Frazier was the best win. Frazier was the best fighter he beat. No on else has a one sided victory over a great heavyweight like Frazier.
Obviously Ali was the best fighter he ever fought.

Briggs got the decision against Foreman and Savarese and Schulz only lost by SD and MD. The Schulz one was said by many to be the wrong call too, lots thought Schulz beat him.

Foreman beat Savarese. The Italian American judge gave it to the Italian American fighter. Everyone else, HBO, Boxing Digest, The Ring, Boxing Monthly, and Lou Savarese, said Foreman won.

Schulz I agree was a controversial one.

Surely showed that even after 10 years out, he came back and not like he was KO’d at all. Took Holyfield the distance.. and fought some prime boxers.

Wouldn't be shocked if Moorer sold the belts and got a percentage of future Foreman title fights like the Louis-Braddock arrangement.

The facial swelling Foreman suffered from Stewart was incredible and brutal. It's the only fight Foreman ever was beat up like that.

The punch put his teeth through his mouthguard.
Moorer wasn't in a position to demand anything, it was seem as a gimme fight and Big George despite not being the champion was the main attraction.

Foreman was down on all scorecards heading into the 8th.

Is Foreman's success in the late 80's and early 90s proof that the quality of boxers declined from the 70s? He didn't beat everyone nor did he fight everyone but he was one of the top guys around. I'm not so sure that version of him would be in the 70s though.
Does this then show how much it declined into the 2000s with how successful and competitive Holyfield was able to be into his 40s?

holyfield lost to every good opponent he faced in his 40s, in several cases hardly winning a round, many of his opponents during this time were already in their 40s themselves

getting schooled by the likes of sultan ibragimov isnt really proving much
