Thank you for this thought-provoking fight.
Maxim fought a bunch of heavyweights and high-level boxers. Lost close fights with Ezzard Charles, went 1-2 vs. Jersey Joe Walcott, even beat Floyd Patterson. Same height as Weaver -- would be giving up 10-15 pounds.
Maxim knew how to frustrate his opponents and had very good defense (29 losses, but only stopped once).
Weaver = slow starter. Maxim wins close fight on points.
