For years Hearn has banged on about how boxing makes people jealous and bitter and that if he ever got like that he would pack the game in.
The past 12 months he has been on a losing streak and has not delivered anything close to what he was claiming when he signed the original DAZN deal. I have noticed a definite change in him and the bitterness that he called out now seems to be well and truly setting in.
Give him his dues, he works his nads off and obviously loves what he does still, but do you see him sticking it out for another couple of decades? His main man Joshua has put a real spanner in the works. The way he got got shafted by old Bob on the Fury v Joshua fight was a classic example of a young pup being slapped by an old dog.
The DAZN move was a massive gamble and not the right move in my opinion. His comments of late sound like a man on the outside pissed off that he is no longer the main man.
I reckon he massively overpaid for the recent Canelo deal and if that backfires he´ll be deeper in the dirt.
How long do you think he will stay in the game and will he come crawling back to SKY in the next year or two?

Yes, that early fresh swagger has gone. He is a greying, bitter, pudendum of a promoter. He has joined the club.

I don’t think he’s as bitter as the rest but he needs to realise that it’s ok to say something positive about another show/promoter. I thought it was quite petty him saying that he wouldn’t watch Khan/Brook. In the end he did and gave a fair assessment (shite undercard, Khan was shot but it was still a fairly exciting fight so he got value for money).
I can’t see him doing it in 20 years but if I’d been asked 20 years ago about Arum I would have said he’d be long gone from Too Rank too.

Of course he puts on some top fights, as he should.
He`s changed though. the bitterness is rising.......

To be truthful Eddie didn’t really maximise his position of dominance with Sky domestically in the last few years of his deal with Sky.
He was too obsessed with putting on American shows with DAZN.
I’m glad Boxxer has come along and Top Rank are tied in with Sky. Things will improve domestically.
And yes, Eddie does seem like the one on the outside now. The move to DAZN hasn’t been a good one despite his work with Canelo.
There was a video uploaded onto YouTube from Sunday night’s Okolie card and Eddie is mocking Wazza’s claim of selling out Wembley for Fury-Whyte. It definitely smacks of bitterness.
Ps in the same video Bellew comes across as a brain-dead Eddie Hearn loyalist fan-boy. Quite embarrassing.

I've seen countless videos of Eddie saying PPV was dead. Laying into Top Rank and Showtime
He gets the canelo fights now and as he had to overpay, what does he do.

Yeah, as I never follow a word he says, or scarcely other than the odd bits people bitch about on here, it’s not really going to bother me. He used to wind me up but actually the pretence of boyish innocent game-changing charm was a part of that (the incessant salesmanship being the other, but hey, that’s what he is), I actually probably prefer him as a more crusty Warrenesque figure. He’s had a bit of the smug knocked out of him, good. Brings the cynicism out into the open.

An incredible fall from grace really. All self inflicted too.
DAZN is dead as a sports broadcaster in the US and UK. And could go entirely pop within a short while.
He remains the premier boxing promoter in the Uk. But he has very limited stars in his stable and even those he does have such as AJ have never been weaker.
Love to see it.

I used to like his energy but I'm getting tired of his patter.
He got greedy and massively underestimated the US market. His focus went and AJ found out he doesn't like getting hit.
The positive is that it has opened up other channels and we have more boxing than ever.
Once Benn and Buatsi get exposed he's got a real fight on his hands
Maybe Ben Schlong is the new daddy? SKY is the ace up his sleeve

Snake oil comes to mind
Snake oil and DAZN PPV, the PPV you get when you were promised "all the big fights for one subscription"

people have always loved to hate him, they did now and even now somehow frame warren as the lesser evil, despite him being an absolute bitter grump who was threatning to shut this place down. hearn aint near that level
eds can be slightly annoying at times trying to sneak his face in every f@cking picture, but for the most part i think he's done an excellent job as a promoter.

He's definitely begining to get a bit snidey on a few things I've seen but there's a lot of clips on twitter doing the rounds that don't show full context of what he's trying to say especially regarding the ppv situation although you could argue him and DAZN brought this on themselves by harping on about ppvs when they first took off
As for bitterness towards other promoters, Warren can't go a single interview without digging Hearn out, Arum royally fvcked him over with the Fury/Joshua undisputed fight and Haymon and Espinoza are forcibly trying to freeze him out and refusing to work with him even if it benefits their fighters, they're all fair game in my book

warren is the undisputed bitter king. if someone is a weird person and starts to like him (maybe because theyre a fury fan), they should remember him pulling the legal threats out to boxrec, dude is an absolute bitter grump of the highest order

Yeah - it’s the snidey stuff lately that isn’t good to see. I get that he’s probably annoyed he didn’t get Khan/Brook on DAZN but he should have just been honest and said it’s well overdue but it’s still a good and big fight. When you compare it to Adam Smith who’s complimentary of shows on other networks and who openly admitted he went to Fury/Wilder 2 as a fan and was at the BT presser for Whyte/Fury, it showed the difference between the two. One is comfortable in what they’re doing and the other is probably nervous about how things are going.
He’s got a long way to go to be as bitter as the rest though. Espinoza tweeted the clip of Eddie saying PPV is dead when the Canelo/Bivol/Golovkin deal was announced. The video of course was taken out of context. The reality is PPV is massively struggling in the US boxing. The only proper PPV fighter left is Canelo whilst PPV shows like Crawford/Porter, Davis/Cruz, Martin/Ortiz, Thurman/Barrios, Paul/Woodley 2 reportedly performed really poorly.
When the bulk of PPVs are getting c.100k buys in the US, it shows how poor things have been promoted/managed.
Warren can’t do an interview without getting properly wound up about Hearn. One interview he’s saying Eddie’s not involved with Whyte so who cares what he thinks and the next he’s blaming Eddie for Whyte not coming to the presser. Eddie openly makes himself available to anyone/everyone to interview him and will answer any question whether it’s about his fighters or someone else’s so there are always going to be soundbites that will annoy other people. Arum should probably walk away now. He made a right mess of the Crawford situation, dug himself a hole with Taylor/Serrano comments and seems a little deluded on some of the other stuff (he predicted Crawford/Porter would do between 500k-1.5m PPV buys).

Will he answer how many UK subscribers DAZN have? Or why he turned his back on Brook for boxing Crawford yet still rimming Canelo after being ditched for the Plant fight?
