Both in primes. 15 rounds, who wins?

Both stopped Mike Weaver, both were stopped by Razor Ruddock.

Peak Dokes = 1982
Peak Smith = 1986

Smith stops Dokes either very early or late in the fight, losing on points.

Don't forget, both were both former WBA Heavyweight Champions.

Anyways, either Dynamite Dokes used his hand speed to out-box Bonecrusher to take a decision or Bonecrusher would cut him off the ring, wearing him down with body punches off the ropes to either decision or knock Dokes out in late rounds.

good matchup, 2 guys who had different strengths and styles but were very close in level overall. i'll fence sit and say they split a series 1-1, dokes taking one fight on decision with much greater speed, the other bonecrusher grinding him down for a stoppage

I'll go with Dokes by decision.

dokes could defo have won a decision, much faster fighter who could rack up the rounds vs a plodding bonecrusher

Emile Griffith in the corner makes the difference

Dokes had more boxing ability, he was more varied.
Bonecrusher had a punch and a decent chin at times, but a superior boxer could give him problems
I'd lean toward Dokes on this one.
