We know he won't be fighting Usyk anytime soon.

Was supposed to be around May/June 2022..

Hearn and AJ have both said an interim bout will likely take place. Good idea. No one really wanted him to take the immediate rematch anyway.. Plus he'll have a chance to test out his new team.

It's important he stays active..

There have been a few names thrown around..

AJ has said he'd love the Wilder fight. I think that bout sells the most, even without belts. I'd still like to see the fight.

Joyce was thrown in.. He then tweeted it as well..

As of today, Parker has thrown his hat into the ring. Said he'd like an AJ rematch. Wouldn't be the worst. I like Parker's style better now..

I have seen comments, saying he'll probably fight an Helenius type.. Probably will.. Who knows.

Thoughts on AJ's interim bout. Who you'd like to see him fight against and also, who you reckon he'd end up fighting.

All signs would suggest it'll be Wallin ... there's the 'Fury didn't stop him/gave Fury a tough fight' angle, can avenge the perceived slight of the Whyte cancellation, southpaw like Usyk, just fought on Sky.
Joyce would be excellent - but he should fight Parker instead. If Whyte loses comprehensively to Fury, the Joyce/Parker winner would be a top four heavy and primed for a huge fight after.

Yeh, that would be the build as well.

Apart from the cut and the little dirty tactics, he didn't give Fury a ahrd fight tbh.

The cut made it a hard fight for Fury. Fair enough, Wallin caused the cut.

Fury still out-pointed him handily.

Seems like everyone still on that bandwagon or just believe what they read.

I happen to agree; just saying that would be the Hearn spiel, as you mentioned.

Take the easiest one to preserve his payday and health befor Usyk.

In reality this fight is meaningless so he just has to win without taking too much out of him.

An impressive knockout will help sell Usyk better.

As long as the fella has a bit of a name and gets knocked out, it's all good.

I think Helenius would be the least risk and most likely to get knocked out.

Reselling Martin would be more difficult.

It'll be whichever is the easiest. Joshua is a quacker.

Yeah. Joshua’s consistently taken easy fights and he’s doing all he can to avoid Usyk. He’s pretty much a bum

I’d deffo watch Wilder v Joshua.

Joshua-Wilder very well may sell more than Joshua-Usyk. AJ thinks he can beat Wilder too and Fury probably softened him up after that brutal KO. Does AJ really want it? It's extremely dangerous and if Wilder lands on the button I can only see it going 1 way. Does Wilder want it? The only way out of the wilderness for Wilder but it depends if he wants to box on.

The Wallin fight is the best prep for Usyk being a southpaw and AJ seemingly messing up the angles continously against Usyk.

On a sidenote I have a feeling AJ and Hearn try to make AJ-Fury straight after Fury and AJ fight next. It's a bigger fight than Usyk with more money and more to gain.

Wilder would do just fine Thankyou.

He could lose against any decent opponent so may as well fight the one that pays best and the fans would like most. This means Wilder. It would be an awesome fight.

I’m actually more interested (potentially) in Joshua’s interim fight, than a rematch with Usyk. For me Usyk wins the rematch comfortably, its not an intriguing fight.

There are a number of fights mention here that I’d be right up for though. Wilder has the potential to be a great fight. I’d make Joshua a heavy favourite, but Wilder absolutely has the capacity to wipe him out.

Joyce wouldn’t generate the same money, but again I think it’s a really good fight. I honestly think Joyce could be a very hard night for AJ, if he gets through the early rounds.

Wallin would be ok. His performance against Fury is a bit over rated in my opinion. I don’t think he either hits hard enough, or is technically sound enough, to pose a real threat but he won’t fall over and he’ll come to win.

And the venue will then fall through meaning it has to take place at Glow, Bluewater?

Won't be either tho .

I'd like to see Joshua face Joyce but I think the Wilder fight would be a worthy 'interim' bout. We were clambering after his fight for long enough and it could be billed as 'the loser leaves town' as I'm not sure where the vanquished would go...

It will be Wallin who's slow and not much of a puncher. I would take Helenius as 50/50 win as Joshua is done.

For me I think either Michael Hunter or Wallin will be the best preparation for Uysk so that would be my pick. Wilder or Joyce would be much more fun though.
