Has anyone ever seen this fight? Seems to either be long lost or uber rare.

Twas part of a closed circuit, multi-location triple header with Ellis vs Chuvalo and Terrell vs Pires, so it definitely was filmed.

( probably why it has been all but forgotten about)

As far as I have been able to asertain.
it was a closed-circut show
but it was only shown in the various 3 cities
were the 3 matches were being held
Ernie Terrel vrs Luis Pires in Chicago
Jimmy Ellis vrs George Chuvalo in Toronto (Canada)

and
George Foreman vrs Peralta at the Oakland Coliseum
Jim Pusateri was the promoter
and his HQ was the Superior Boxing Club in Oakland
( he had previously promoted the Sonny Liston vrs Henry Clark match in Oakland in 1968 which was shown live on ABC-TV.
so you may want to try and find out what became of the Superior Boxing club as maybe they would have a film reel or
VHS copy of the fight in a closet or something there. (like the Maple Leaf Gardens had apparnetly done)

It is a real shame that George Chuvalo never got a shot at Henry Cooper for the Commonwealth Heavyweight Title. He was the leading contender for years.

- Seen both the Peralta fights before the Great Google Purge of historic Youtube fight providers, a literal Renaissance for fight geeks. I feel like I've seen 80% of existent surviving fight film thanks to The Great A and others like him.

Big George like all massive sluggers suffers from the traditional boxing curse of he must not be that good if he can't KO his opponent. Nobody ever says that about boxers who occasionally managed to KO a fighter.

Peralta, 99-9-9 record a tremendous fighter, but not much more than a blown up LH. He put George through his paces the first fight, but George clearly beat him up even if no KO. 2nd fight started the same, but now more experienced George beat him up even worse for the stoppage :TU:

I have noticed a lot of stuff has been removed from it in recent years.
