He can, but that’s not saying he’ll get an easy decision.
When they want to be, Aus will do what other countries do.

are we already making excuses for haney?
they do now have the same promoter too, bobert got options on at least haney's next 2 fights if he wins

Might be bigger than the promoters pal. and technically, DiBella is Kam's promoter, so Kam and DiBella have to prostitute themselves to signing co-promotional deals to appear on networks.
I don't realty have a favourite here tbh. So whoever wins, that's the way it is.
I just hope for a good fight and may the best man winn

If Kambosis had some real power and the skill to deliver it, I would be worried if I were Haney. Kombosis will try to force an ugly fight, but Haney will control the pace and the distance on his way to a 118-110 win.

No idea what Haney can do. As for who is currently winning the war of prefight behavior that would be Kambosos. The way Kambosos beat Teofimo was absolutely amazing, he gave it literally all that he had for that victory, it's very rare to see an effort like that. Me I would be a bit nervous to get into the ring vs someone like that cause you are not going to intimidate a person like that in any way before the fact. May the better man win really.

i think it will be a catchy fight. both guys like to counter punch. i doubt either will be charging in like teo was. haney is a bit faster but kambo's timing is really good. my hunch is that haney does just enough and doesnt get involved in a rougher fight that might favour kamby

While both like to counter punch im semi expecting an unusual amount of time trading in the pocket...
Haney and his team surely wont want to risk being too negative against a home town hero. so he will have to gold his feet, move foward and engage more than he would otherwise like to. And i think Kambo, being slower but tougher should chose to trade when those situations arise.
Unless haney backs himself to do a 120-108 type schooling which is how confedent you would have to be to go be negative in aus infront of 55000, hard to see how he could be that confident so i think its unlikely. .

I actually think Kambosos will triumph against Haney, but then I'm a fan.
If the last fight was Kambo's peak then maybe Haney can take it, but every fight I've seen, Kambosos gets incrementally better and he will need to be.

in true kambosis fashion watch out for the split decision

Imo, Haney is too skilled and smart to lose to Kombosis. Haney 116-112 or wider, UD.

I'd be down with this "get better every fight" stuff if not for the horrible beating that he took in his last fight. Yes he won, yes Teo got beat up even worse than he did but I just don't see a fighter improving after something like that.
Funny to say this but yeah, Kambo learnt alot probably sparring with Pac. If he wants to improve then he'd need to find a new sparring partner to help him with the development.... he should dial up Teo and ask him if he wants to play.

I admire Kambo and the home edge will be useful but I think Haney will just be too classy for him.
I think it'll be a decent points win in the first fight and a late stoppage in any rematch.

And yes George took a lot of punishment from Teo, but so would
anyone in the division, the guy is a beast and no argument - Kambosos beat him. That level of engine and toughness isn't going to leave Kambosos as he fights Haney, so my point is if he can also work on a few things, he might have what it takes to win.
I don't know if he can, but like I said- I have been watching him closely for 3 years now, and the guy gets better every fight. He has a terrific team around him and the right attitude to train hard, and and the mindset to learn.
Nothing Haney is going to throw at him will deter him, I just don't think Haney has the pop. So if there are improvements in Kambosos' defence alone, that could be enough to take the win.
I feel this fight is 55/45 in Haneys favour, and I'm looking forward to it.

I just watched Devin Haney vs Jorge Linares and Devin seems to be alright but bearing in mind that Jorge has 6 ko losses on his record and none of them to Haney that creates question marks.
And then he has fought some B level southpaws as well as Zaur Abdullaev who himself scored a win vs Linares a Ko12 victory. Haney beat Zaur by ko in the 4th round a somewhat controversial stoppage but Haney was also really outgunning Zaur.
A warrior like Kambosos can't however be discounted. Have a really hard time seeing Kambosos win by decision here, a ko victory would seem more probable if he is able at all to beat Haney.
Funny I would have predicted a Teofimo Lopez win over Haney prior to the Kambosos fight but I can't really see Kambo beating Haney.

That is unusual. I don't know about Teo now either, best bet is he gives Haney a pretty rough night, that I don't think has changed, but as for beating him?

There are questions about Haney's chin, but until he get's stopped or dropped several times I don't think it's an issue.
I think Haney is the better boxer, but Kombosis is possibly tougher, so hopefully it brings the best out of both. Unless Kombosis is able to trap Haney fairly often, he'll get outboxed and lose.
Maybe Haney will move up after this, as he cuts hard to make 135.
