Bit left field chaps, but on another forum someone asked me if I had any idea why Michael Löwe retired so suddenly - be one the WBO welterweight belt, defended it once and and never fought again.

One of the very few world champions to retired undefeated (and before anyone starts I know he was no Galaxy or Marciano). Anyone know - Bubi or Freiheit?

Took part in one of the worst 'world' title fights ever with Michael Carruth.

Bennie - not disagreeing with you there mate, just wondered what happened to him.

There really were some ropey WBO champins around that time weren't there?

Stinking fights and Carruth went hand in hand.

Failed a brain scan or something. Had a long, illustrious amateur career before turning pro. Robert McCracken caused a bit of a stir when he butchered him in the 1990 world cup in Dublin.
