he is boarderline
looking at boxrec's other top 10 at welter, i'd pick every other guy over him though except maybe crowley. could see him going 0-10 tbh
for me he's a sergio garcia type, good euro champ but not cutting it vs world level guys

Its hard because though Kavaliaskas beat Ava. Ava is on a streak and Kavaliaskas has been stop twice since. It would be difficult to keep Kavaliaskas high with those loses. Brutal to drop him so far because of that. But I have no issue in the Boxrec rankings tbh.
In my rankings Ava is probably 11-14 best welter in the world.

Who knows? not much significant information to say he is top 10. but eye test sugests he is close.

Na, Iv probably only ever watched 2 or 3 spannish shows. I mean, he might of been on one of them. kermy has bashed up so many brits now (gavin, skeete, nurse, flatley, smith), i dont know how you couldnt know him. he was probably close to top 15 himself when ava stopped him the first time. was a very good win, better than anything lover boi benn has done

Genuinely wonder why Matchroom aren’t pushing for this for Benn. It’s got to be a personal reason between Hearn and Warren and just stubbornness.
Ava is a top fighter. Benn beats him though.

Yep, perfectly plausible he's a top ten boxer....capable of winning a world title if he's up against the like of Spence or Crawford...No !

He'd surely beat the fringe Top10ish types - Benn and the Canadian. He's got a great chance against what's left of Brook, Thurman, and the not-a-WW-Mikey. Pretty proven that he won't beat the superstars or the young soon-to-stars like Boots.
You can say, he's 8th/9th, or "just scrapes in @ 10" for sure, but RIGHT NOW, he's Top 10.
