I would never describe myself as smart but there should be a special classification for the dopes claiming that Ugas had Spence in some kind of trouble during that whole spit mouth piece situation.

Are these people ok? Jr. spits the bit for the 1st time in his career and probably never spent 2 seconds thinking about the scenario. He acted poorly and admittedly failed to protect himself. That lead to Ugas having TWO FREE unprotected head shots with minimally padded gloves and even that didn’t do a thing to Spence but knock him off balance. Not a thing more.

Spence then responded by absolutely shelling Ugas even more than before the incident. This was nothing less than an absolute master class destruction of Ugas unlike anything I’ve seen between 2 world champions at 147 than I could ever remember.

Anyone trying to say anything otherwise doesn’t know what the F he’s watching when it comes to Boxing. Their posts should be ignored and their opinion should be classified down to the gf who just watched her second fight and wanted to try to talk shop. Idiots.

Spence was clearly hurt, albeit momentarily.

I agree. Considering he was cold cocked by Ugas when he was looking down and reaching to pick up his mouthpiece (with gloves on) the punch did surprisingly little damage. I didn't expect him to recover so fast. I was waiting for a Laurence Cole moment, we almost had one. Ugas seemed confused to, he missed an opportunity but I don't think Spence was that hurt to begin with. Rather then exposing a weakness in Spence to me it shows that he has a solid chin.

This was the best I've seen Spence since he got wasted and totaled his car. Ugas is not an easy opponent and Spence won almost every minute of every round. If the Crawford fight happens it'll be very interesting.

Hurt? Probably not. Stunned? absolutely.

Momentarily stunned, as anyone would be in that situation. Seriously hurt? No fukcing way, judging how he responded.

He laughed about it after, blaming himself for not protecting yourself at all times. Spence dominated an elite opponent after a 17 month layoff. He'll be better next fight.

It's a good thing he didn't fight Pac and beat him down worse than he did Ugas, folks would be crying.

I think he'll make Crawford say "no mas"!, 11th or 12th round.

my man errol was defo hurt, youd gotta be blind not to see it. he recovered quick though

I said that no one but the idiotic boxing fan that has no idea what they are talking about would conflict my claim in that Spence wasn’t the least bit hurt. I’m like one of those trappers on those Alaska shows and I continue to catch me a good supply of EO. Perfectly said from a fan that I’ll continue to read. Surprised is all that he was. Idiotic fans are trying to make these monumental claims of now Spence can’t hang with TC. Paleese. stunned is basically just another term for hurt

you can be hurt/rocked/stunned/buzzed/etc to various degrees, obviously spence wasnt on the verge of being stopped or anything like that, but dood was hurt. it's not a big deal really, it was an unexpected shot for him and he recovered quickly and whooped dat cuban ass (and eye). his butt bois don';t really have any reason to be defensive over it

I agree, hurt can be all those things (in my opinion).

Getting hit with 2 or 3 clean shots like that, he was clearly buzzed. But Spence has shown great recouperative ability any time he's been hit with a good shot. Ugas tagged him with some nice body shots that seemed to phase Spence later in the fight, Spence bit down on gum shield and answered back immediately. There's no denying Spence is a tough s.o.b..

It was a freak incident that won't affect any other fight, and barely even affected the fight it happened in.

Spence was semi-hurt but he recovered fast.

I think TC would beat Spence bc TC si more composed, better ring iq, better skills and he's a very strong minded fighter. Ohh, and TC is very strong too.

I think TC would beat Mell Charlo or Castano at 154 too.

After surviving an horrific high speed accident Spence might now well be unbeatable.

There's no boxer out there as hard as concrete.

Capitalized on it in what way? Ugas landed a nice shot that buzzed Spence, Landed another good shot sending Spence mothguard flying. The referee yells stop twice, Spence turns his head to look for a the mouthguard and Ugas lands 2 more clean shots on a defenseless Spence. If that wasn't attempting to capitalize on a situation from Ugas I don't know what is. By the time the mouthguard situation was settled, Spence had already fully recovered and seemed to fight even better following the incident.

Seems you're reaching a bit and forget the events that happened leading up to it all. Ugas took such advantage of the situation he even landed two punches on a defenseless Spence after the referee verbally stopped the action.

He got hurt in a moment of distraction, Ugas stupidly didn't take advantage, and the moment passed. He obviously bounced back and responded to being hurt exceptionally well so I wouldn't be too upset about it if I was a fan of his. That's the way you WANT a guy to respond to adversity.
