Why would Boxxer go down? Was it MTK financed?

I can’t see Boxxer (unless I’ve missed something I don’t think there are any links) or IFL having any issues.

Early signs aren’t good with Probellum with them losing broadcast deals and likely having high guarantees for boxers. I’d be surprised if they go bust quickly but I was surprised how quickly MTK folded so who knows.

I remember Triller were linked with Kinahan but never heard much since, Ruiz/Spong did get panned the day of the sanctions I think though

Everyone is shite scared of upsetting the US, it's full of dirty money probably more so than London but once Uncle Sam stamps his feet....

Yep, said this on the other thread as soon as the US authorities held that press conference. Massive game-changer on so many levels. DK's quest to be a player in the world of boxing is having massive repercussions.

(Not sure if you are joking) Of course they have evidence. He just can't be extradited at the moment. Decent bounty on his head though, he might get lifted for 5 million, definitely needs to keep looking over his shoulder 24/7.

Has anyone heard anything re: Probellum? As far as I’m aware they’ve got no shows lined up where they’re the headline promoter and no TV deal in the U.K. Is it just a matter of time before they close and free people up?

Thing is, they seem to be doing OK with these, for want of a better word, "circus events".

Scottish MSP in the paper Sunday (Sunday Mail?) digging into Sam Kynoch.

Kynochs involvement in a recent show in Dundee was also subject of a report in the local paper, the courier, questioning his ties with MTK and whether the show should have been allowed. I can’t rember all the detail and the story has gone behind a pay wall but it appears he’s attracting a bit of heat up North.

Haven’t seen anything coming back from him yet, which is surprising as he’s a lawyer. You’d think that if he felt he was being libelled he’d be right on top of it?

"Publications in Scotland have recently made reference to "links" between Kynoch Boxing and certain figures / organisations in the boxing world. I wish to clarify matters.

Upon establishing Kynoch Boxing in 2018 I severed ties with MTK Global - the boxing management and promotion business which ceased operations last month. Four years have elapsed and in this time Kynoch Boxing has gone from strength to strength. This has been the result of hard work, acting with integrity and building relationships throughout the boxing world. Any inference that I remain linked to MTK Global or any individuals linked to MTK Global are false.

In October 2021 Kynoch Boxing entered into a multi-year partnership deal with Richard Schaefer's Probellum. Probellum have made it clear that any inference that there is a connection between the management or ownership of Probellum and any of the individuals or businesses sanctioned by the US Treasury is categorically untrue. I am satisfied that this is the case. The opportunity to be one of a select group of partners for a new global powerhouse in the boxing world represents a fantastic opportunity for Kynoch Boxing and our stable of boxers.

False claims which look to undermine years of hard work are hard to stomach - especially in a week where one of our athletes is headlining at the OVO Hydro in a double World Title defence. Know a few people who were at the Dundee show and says it's was the biggest shambles they'd ever seen, 3 hours in between fights, ran out of drink etc, was pondering going with guy in work, thank fvk I didn't

There was an issue with the paramedic which only became apparent as the first bout was about to start, so unfortunately they had to send the boxers back. It did take a few hours to get someone else, but they managed to on time to allow the boxing to go ahead. Once it got going the boxing itself was actually quite good and Paul Kean produced a great stoppage win. Jamie Wilson v Stephen Jackson was a good wee scrap too.

He doesn't say he never had anything to do with them. The very start of the statement is about cutting ties with MTK which Sam did.
