No - not staying up for it. I very rarely do that nowadays as it wipes me out for the Sunday. I get up early though so will watch it from about 6am without seeing the results.
I’m looking forward to the show though. Interested to see Yafai again, I really like the Ammo Williams fight and the Smith/Vargas fight should be good too. Really like the main event too for a women’s fight.

I think Serrano is decent and I reckon that Taylor has been past her best for a couple of years.
I hope not but I think Taylor is going to get beat convincingly

It's not a competitive fight. Serrano is going to come forward and put some hands on Katie tonight. Katie has got some very dubious cards and officiating and I think the stage is too big for a robbery or corrupt officials tonight. Jake Pauls fighter won't get robbed. I am not sure Katie is going to make it the distance. She is getting a good solid beating here tonight which will have to be stopped due to the punishment she is taking, especially when she runs out of gas as she usually does. She has declined and struggled in her last fight. This is such a mismatch when you watch the fighters. I don't see how anyone who knows anything about boxing can confidently pick Katie to win this. Besides corruption, she has no chance. She cannot maintain distance and Serrano has a multitude of ways to close the distance and punch stats from their fights tell us we are looking at Serrano throwing around 200-300 more punches than Katie if this goes the distance. It's a long time since I've been this confident about a fight.

Really? You rate Serrano so highly. I'm no expert, just a fan but from what I've seen Taylor is a lot better than anyone Serrano has faced before, even if Taylor is on the slide as many are saying.
Taylor has the better pedigree and experience by far.
I also can't see Serrano throwing 200-300 more punches overall, in two minute rounds.
I see this fight a lot closer, a narrow points decision either way wouldn't surprise me.
As an aside, I watched the face to face between Hearn and Jake Paul - I've rarely seen anyone look as rattled in an interview as Paul did. For a guy that comes across as cocky most of the time, he seemed really unnerved. Scratching, shaking, mentioned womens boxing needing three twelve minute rounds rather than twelve threes, like a lost little lad there.

Serrano is going to be on her front foot here for the entirety of the fight, bobbing, weaving, slipping, throwing lead lefts, jabs, hooks to the body and much more as her first line of attack getting inside. I am telling you that Katie cannot stop this attack and once they get to the inside, which is inevitable, there will be exchanges of punches where Serrano will throw shots like Degale used to and they are coming from southpaw angles and many will be hitting Katie cleanly. Katie is poor on the inside and will get worked over there.
I believe the only shot Katie has is to somehow seriously hurt Serrano early. This is the only way to get respect and stop Serrano fighting her fight. On the inside Katie has to hold immediately and hope the ref has been briefed in corruption and doesn't allow inside work. She will get lit up like a Christmas tree by Serrano on the inside for sure and she will not be able to stop Serrano from coming.
Serrano will certainly be throwing that many more punches as that is her style. We can expect 400-450 punches from Katie and up to 700 possibly from Serrano I believe, maybe more. I will be really shocked if Katie wins this. I wouldn't be shocked with corruption, the likes of which we saw in the first Persoon fight where Katie won 3 rounds at the most and was hanging on for dear life. Serrano is levels above Persoon.
I am not even sure Katie will have a good first round as Serrano came out and threw 94 punches in the first round of her last fight.

i dont think the best katie taylor has to show up tonight to win , serrano is a heavey puncher but she aint faced someone with katies volume punching and accuracy that changes seeranos game plan you cant walk through shots that are hitting you sweet , yea katie has been lucky with some dubious wins in her last few fights , i think her heads not in it no more , but she looks up for this its history msg , and it is really is going to be problay be the first and last biggest womans fight ever i think ,i dont think anyone can fill her void , really katie is only womans boxer i follow

Its a tough one this. Looking at them both Serrano looks much more powerful and hurtful and overall better but the one thing to consider here is quality of opposition. Katie has fought much better boxers and Serrano won't be used to being put on the back foot. V interesting fight.

I may stay up, it is a decent looking card and I like both the girls in the main event.
Any idea what sort of time the main event will be?
It is in New York, so I assume it won't be as late as the big Vegas shows usually are

Moving this to women's boxing however if RKO does a round by round that's ok in British

Was gonna post the RBR on the CS seeing as it’s in the States.
And use the Smith/Vargas thread in the B&I section for rbr.
