Depends on what the fighters are getting. Frank would have been happy to cover his costs on this one I would have thought.

Knowing Warren it probably made a 15 quid loss the entire show and he will attempt to sue Whyte for £2m damages because of it.

I can’t believe this would run at a loss or break even, what would be the point in doing the show

10 million on the gate + PPV money 30 million = 40 million , purses for the show around 32 million so at the end of it all should be making a nice profit .

The purses are not the only costs involved.

Putting on a show.of that size will have many costs involved.

Plus on the PPV side I doubt the whole amount goes to the promotion

Exactly. The VAT man takes his cut, BT their cut and I’m sure Sky will take a cut from any orders through the red button.

I'd be staggered if the promoter gets more than 50% of ppv money. It used to be circa 45% but I was told it has shifted a bit.

For FW to get 30 million there would need to be 60 million in sales which is well over 2 million buys. Do you think that happened?

What about the other overheads? Do you think Wembley just lent him the stadium for nowt, etc?

"Doing okay" to me means he's not going to blow his balls completely.

Already there’s a guy who’s calculations have the PPV sales at 2 million ffs.

Worldwide tv rights, sponsorship, etc, but as said, who knows.

I just googled what it costs to hire Wembley, no definite answer but some guys suggest for a football match its 250-750k and Wembley get 10% of tickets sales.

The undercard must have cost 100 quid tops but if you can't make a profit on that show then something is wrong

Wembley is not paid for in full (yet). There's at least two more years to go. Interest per years is about 3 million quid, plus capital which is far more, obviously, plus ongoing expenses. They need to charge plenty for drinks, etc...

It’s a Queensbury show. Of course it didn’t make a profit.

If you never hear PPV figures then it didnt do well as expected. Everyone told me it was easy to stream compared to a SBO show. Anything over 800k is good.

I think it was more important for FW to beat Eddie than turn a huge profit. He’ll be relieved with a break even. We saw the pressure he was under in the build up.

On another note, the promoter won’t get a share of beer money.
