Bivol is not getting paid for Canelo fight

Apparently they are refusing to pay him, because he is Russian, How can they do that AFTER Bivol fulfilled all of his Contracted obligations by fighting Canelo. I don't understand it, This is just Wrong

when i read this i thought the claim was the promoter was refusing to pay, since read the other post re Russian shenanigans

Dmitry Bivol's father was born in Moldova and grew up speaking "Moldovan" (Romanian), while his mother was ethnically Korean, born in Kazakh SSR. Dmitry's parents moved to Kyrgyzstan after graduating and marrying.[11] Dmitry was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan and later at the age of 11 moved to Russia. seems harsh not to pay the man for something he has no control over very disgusting if thats the case

It is BS. If I were Bivol, I would demand triple of he got the 1st fight, and demand upfront payment, or no rematch.
