Puncher Wins The Rematch?

Perceived wisdom says “the better boxer wins the rematch” and I can think of loads of example of that. The technician can always learn more about his opponent and the slugger might run out of ideas.
Can anyone think of examples of a time where the first fight was close and when the rematch came around, the cruder/more offensive fighter won?
Just one of them threads where you think of something and want to ask the board.

Fury wasn’t really the puncher in that first bout, but he sure was in the 2nd bout.

Yes I do. I don’t think many will fit here, like you said, the boxer always figures it out usually.
I’m sure many posters here can rustle some up.

no, the first sor-choc fight was close, i thought choc edged it. rematch sor destroyed him
murata won both rematches yes. although the first brant fight wasnt even close, murata got dominated

A similar theme would be the Vernon Forrest -Ricardo Mayorga fights.
The first was a surprise stoppage win for the ultra crude and rough Mayorga. In the rematch Mayorga outpointed Forrest over the full 12.
Ok, it doesn’t 100% meet the criteria of the original poster’s subject, but the outcome was the same.
He was a weird one, that Mayorga.

I thought the first fight was the KO, weird when you check it on boxrec and you’re wrong.

Hearns was a actually the better boxer both times.
Leonard was on the end of his jab and was forced to turn slugger to try and turn the tide.

But for a long count, Dempsey-Tunney 2 would have fit the bill.
The examples so far indicate Joshua needs to A) land a hail mary, B) fight a suddenly washed up Usyk.
Not going to happen!

I should add, if anyone is interested, that Tim Witherspoon showed no great desire to see out the opening round
after Bonecrusher had nailed him and put him down for the first of three knockdowns. Witherspoon's purse was horribly carved up by Don King after his previous defence against Frank Bruno and he wanted out of the relationship. Bonecrusher did him a favour.
