among the current crop, i think jermell charlos a very good fighter and props for becoming undisputed

that said, if we are judging on a historical perspective his path to undisputed stands out to me as being pretty weak

tony harrison (char lost the first fight)
jeison rosario (among the worst unified champ ever)
brian castano (draw first fight)

has there been an undisputed champ with a weaker path to that accomplishment than this?

Craws path to 140 undisputed was pretty weak. didnt have any trouble along the way though.

He got a weak vacant title shot for his first belt. then got another belt in a very legit unification with pistol, Then the other 2 on a platter from indongo (who i bet on in mabey my worst bet ever).

There's a few that spring to mind that aren't undisputed but still not exactly awe inspiring, Gennady Golovkin despite his awesome talent, had a really strange path mainly caused by champions avoiding the mandatory and sanctioning bodies indulging them.

Gets vacant interim title against Milton Nunez (yes I looked that up), Sturm gets "upgraded" so he gets the regular title be default, the Sturm mandatory is never called and a few years later, Sturm loses to Daniel Geale who is stripped of the belt for not facing Golovkin.

Then he wins the interim WBC title against Marco Antonio Rubio, but again, Canelo's the champion, he doesn't want it yet and vacates, and that's 2 belts by default. Finally gets David Lemieux in the ring for the IBF belt, a decent opponent but no world beater. Fortunately he got the big fights later after he'd collected the belts.

Juan Diaz unified 3 titles by beating Lakva Sim, a 'one foot in retirement' Acelino Freitas and Julio Diaz.

Cory Spinks beat MIchelle Piccirillo and Ricardo Mayorga to get 3 belts. Bit harsh on Mayorga as he'd earnt it by beating Vernon Forest twice but I still think that's a pretty easy route.

It's all relative of course, these are all world class professionals in a difficult sport. Maybe 'easy' is disrespectful and not the right word, but you must surely acknowledge that some runs involve tougher matchups than others?

The Postol fight was genuinte unification, decent on paper.

The Indongo fight hhas looed worse as it's gone on, but at the time, he was looking good.

KO'd the Russian on Russian soil,

Then decisively outpointed Burns in the UK..

It wasn't the best run, but I remember at the time, there was some question marks. Then T-Craw, being who he is, just dealt with him and he certainly took something from Indongo..

I think he might be the guy who stands out most as someone who unified, was ranked p4p, yet definitely wont make the hof. not often you see that
