Mahmood "Manuel" Charr (32-4) continues his comeback with a showdown against Michael Wallisch (22-5) on May 28

Former (?) WBA secondary heavyweight champion of the world, Mahmood "Manuel" Charr (32-4) continues his comeback with a showdown against Michael Wallisch (22-5) on May 28 at "Die Bucht" in Hamburg, Germany.

Charr fought a little over a year against puncher Christopher Lovejoy and easily stopped him in the second. That was his first fight since 2017 when he beat Alexander Ustinov to win the WBA "regular" title.

Also on this EC Boxing promotion are heavyweights Christian Hammer (26-9), Ali Eren Demirezen (15-1) and Viktor Faust (9-0), as well as super lightweight Volkan Gokcek (9-0).

I don’t know why, but Charr intrigues me and I can’t help myself wanting to see how he gets on here. Putting the whole WBA farce to one side, I recall his fight with Vitali, and I’m not sure if i want him to loose or win in spectacular fashion

He sucks. He can beat only sh!thouses like Chris Lovejoy. Surely, he'll destroy big stiff Wallisch, but he isn't on par with any living body.

I can appreciate the fact that it's relatively evenly matched. Winner might get a boost, but it'll probably be a dead end after that.

I reckon Charr should win this.

Can’t believe how long it’s been since Charr beat Ustinov.

Charr Will Now Face Nikola Milalic in Hamburg Headliner

First former WBA secondary champ Mahmoud "Manuel" Charr (32-4) had Michael Wallisch (22-5) as the opponent for the headliner at "Die Bucht" in Hamburg, on May 28, but then EC Boxing booked a tougher opponent in American Jean Pierre Augustin (18-1-1).

However, now Augustin couldn't make it to Germany due to some legal problems at home. Instead, Charr will now take on Nikola Milalic (21-2) in a scheduled ten rounder

"It is a tuneup for Charr, who after this will be ready to fight the winner of Joseph Parker-Joe Joyce or Daniel Dubois-Trevor Bryan," says promoter Erol Ceylan.

"We are doing the best we can to get started again after the pandemic and then we get this," added Ceylan, who in the last few days outside of the Charr fight has seen heavyweight Viktor Faust get injured in sparring and super lightweight Volkan Gokcek being forced to pull out due to illness.

As it is now, big heavyweight Ali Eren Demirezen (15-1) will fight veteran Kevin Johnson (35-18-1) while Christian Hammer (26-9) will fight Drazan Janjanin (22-34) in another heavyweight fight.

Michael Wallish is on the bill again and replaces Viktor Faust and is in against Toni Thes (19-11-1)

All in all there are six fights on the bill..

Everyone ducking Charr.

I reckon if DDD beats Bryan, he should give Charr a shot at the belt.

Need to eliminate these boxers.

i see chris hammer is also puffing his win column up with another can, so he can come back to the us or uk and do nothing while losing every round

they should deliver the charr-hammer super fight we all want

100 percent shit show German style.

while ot seems impossible for german promoters to get any half decent foreigners to fight their top guys it must be equally impossible to make a 'big german heavyweight clash' where faust fights hammer (those fantasy names🤣)wallisch fights demirezen and charr gets smashed by old johnson. or mix them up otherwise to generate at least some interest.

instead each of them is 'fighting' some can (no insult) ready to dive to the canvas when ordered from ringside.

and top German heavy agit kabayel in total frustration 'explains' his inactivity on his you tube channel(he signed contracts to fight fury and then huck, both fights didn't happen) while he's ready all the time to fight anybody.

in the next sentence kabayel states he just couldn't take an offer to fight hrgovic cause the 'money was just to little' :brick: (the reason why nobody wants to fight hrgovic is cause they pay shit)

one couldn't make that shit up.

Why and how do the German team make so many of their fighters change their names to German sounding? It’s really odd….
