Realistically who Benavidez could fight with a pulse ?

tbh I don't see Charlie, Plant or even Andrada fighting Bena.
Marcus Browne, Gilberto Ramirez, Joshua Buatsi or maybe Craig Richards?
Personally I think Bena vs Zurdo Ramirez would make the most sense but I think Ramirez is aiming for Bivol or Canelo fights.
Also I think Bena would be more fitted at 175 bc his body looks big but drained and flaccid at 168.

David Morell is ranked 5th at 168, he said he"ll fight Benevidez.

Ok, but what about his handlers ? Will they let him to do that ? What money?
They all talk this and that but in reality the fighter is an investment that needs to generate big money like in any business.
Morrell is a 24 y/o prospect with only 6 fights at pro.

Probably some fighters like Marcus Browne or maybe Craig Richards would fight Benavidez @175 bc they have nothing to lose and both would be a step up in competition for Bena.

Every fighter says he wants to fight this and that. What they supposed to say? "I want to have a padded record with cannon fodder opponents till a big opportunity shows up?!"lol First let's see the fight officially announced with the contracts signed.

David Morell has the WBA regular belt I believe. He's willing to fight.

I'd like to see Benavidez moving up at 175 and fight some top contenders like Callum, Yarde, Buatsi or Browne. Staying at 168 and fighting washed up, smaller opponents ain't nothing to brag about.
Also a fight with Joe Smith Jr would be a big step up in competition for Benavidez. Lets not forget that Smith Jr tktfo Fonfara, B-Hop, Eleider Alvarez, decisioned Hart and Vlaslov. A resume that a guy like Benavidez should dream for.

Benevidez vs Andrade would be a good fight. Winner should be assured a big fight, with anyone not named Canelo. He's made it clear he doesn't want to fight either. One because he's a horrible boxer, and the other because he's a mexican.
Imagine if black guys refused to fight other guys because they are black? Worst ducking excuse in history.

tbh i don't even care about these staying safe with protected 0's fighters anymore. even Lucian Bute &his handlers had the balls to fight Froch in UK, then Badou Jack and DeGale. Damn, Bute even fought a prime, very tough Sakio Bika.
as i said if there are no serious good options at smw then move up at lhw and prove you re a mexican warrior.

Smith Jr would be a good idea. He has shown he is not in the class of the big two at LHW so where else does he go?
Benavidez is high enough profile for another big fight for Joe and would be a big splash for David on his LHW debut.
I like it.

Now it's stupid for him to wait for Canelo, since the Redhead aims to have long time-off, after what he'll probably go for the Bivol rematch or any other more marketable opponent, than Beenavidez, while there're many of such. Benavidez should fight Plant, because it looks like the best possible SMW bout today.

@168 plant, boo boo, jacobs, Ryder, akhmedov, or mung/GGG if they wanna move up…. Berlamga for a laugh.
There’s some 175 fights there but should focus on 168 first.

Benavidez Should call out Beterbeiv.
That would certainly Generate Alot of Cash-Flow(Revenue).
Benavidez isn't a Good Talker though. He doesn't have That Special Ability to Talk himself up, like some of the other Big-Mouths out there.

Apparently he's got a fight scheduled for January. Jose Uzcategui.
Good stay busy fight. Time is on hs side, so he'll be ok.

yup
I think Bena and his handlers know very well that those top guys from 175 are very strong, including Joe Smith Jr too. There is a solid reason why Benavidez is draining himself at 168 to fight poor opposition.

Benavidez vs Plant would be a good fight for the WBC smw title. Canelo would probably vacate or be made champion in recess by wbc or something like that.

That it would be a big statement from Benavidez. But it ain't gonna happen bc Bena and his handlers know very well that Bena would get flattened, even if Arthur is 37-38 y/o. Also Artur is with TR.

Its decent but after this fight Bena needs to fight a good opponent from 168(Plant, Morrell or Andrade) or move up at 175.

So Many of these modern "Top Ranked Boxers" are Such Scaredy Cats nowadays.
Either They Are, or they're Managers and/or Promoters.
Imagine if things had been like this back in 1980.
Pipino Cuevas wouldn't have ever step foot within 50 ft of Tommy Hearns.
Alot has been learned for the behalf of the newer generations of Boxers.
It HAS gone Far Too Far though.
Too Much "Boxing Fan" Deprivation.

Yes the power in boxing has somehow gone from the fans to the promoters.
We're unlikely to get it back anytime soon.
