Chisora v Pulev II - 9th July, O2 Babby!

On Twitter Hearn’s new ticketing site have just posted a fight picture of Pulev v Chisora II.

Gotta be in error as Hearn loves spending an hour on IFL revealing this kinda news himself.

If true… good start for the new ticketing outlet.

Awful matchup. It won't be different from the first one, maybe only Chisora gets waved or retired now.

considering forrest's draws with zhang and hunter, pulev did a pretty good job on him last time out. looked good enough to beat the del we last saw vs parker. and of course beat him handily when they fought before...

Could be fun in an odd sort of way but the main DAZN fight from now til September? Crikey.

pulev-chisora 1 has been a great fight to out dudes who just browsed boxrec record and didnt actually watch. anytime a dude calls that fight close or that pulev struggled to a split decision, you gotta call dat ass out

I'm struggling to remember how I watched that. Think they did it during a Sky Sports card either live or on tape delay (think it may have been Crolla) between fights?

It was a clear Pulev win but he's gotten older and been less active than Chisora which makes it a 50/50 imo.

I quite like the fight to be honest. I think it’s 50/50, perhaps Pulev is favourite given his performance against Forrest.

I’m not rushing out to get NFT tickets but will certainly try and watch it.

I’ll be disappointed if this is the only U.K. show for July though.

On an unrelated note Kownacki must have shat it?

i thought del looked awful vs parker 2, very shopworn. getting hurt and dropped constantly by a guy who isnt a notable puncher at world level (couldnt drop fa or cojanu). legs all over the place and took a 12 round beating

pulev has been less active in recent years but just totally clowned a guy who'd drawn with hunter and zhang in his previous 2 fights. looked pretty good. better recent form and of course he beat del handily when they did fight

would have to make him my fave for sure

kownacki coulda shat it but not sure we have enough info to really know at this point......pbc might be planning a card he can help fill, probably as the loser now but you know how those dudes stay loyal to big al. pays well doesnt he

maybe they gotta another all hw ppv card planned for wilders return. frank sanchez vs kownacki or something like that

He's just fought.
I know. He'll get a different fight from Chisora, who's fought twice as often and at a better level overall since they met last.

PBC aren’t wanting to do any favours to Matchroom so I’d imagine that when Del told everyone he was fighting Kownacki PBC then stepped in and promised him something equivalent or better.

So it’s been confirmed for July 9th. 4 and a half weeks and a c.18,000 seat arena. Crazy. I’d be surprised if they get 5-6,000.

I’d imagine Eddie’s trying to get Johnny Fisher on there.

“I’m delighted to get this fight over the line,” said Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn. “Initially we worked on some other opponents for Derek, but this fight came out of nowhere a few days ago and I absolutely love it!

“I think the strapline, ‘Total Carnage’, is absolutely perfect for this fight, in terms of the build-up and in terms of the fight itself. Expect the unexpected but expect a thriller. Both men have been longstanding fixtures of the heavyweight division and it’s all or nothing at for both, as defeat could lead to the end of the road. Fans can expect a huge undercard and a brilliant main event.”

Imagine paying £400 for this reheated shit sandwich.

Eddie clearly on a mission to get Del boy brain damage down the road

And Babic.....
Eddie clearly aiming for the casuals hoping they're still onboard a clapped out Chisora train.

Basic is entertaining but I don’t think he shifts too many tickets. They were aiming for Kownacki partly because he may have brought in some reasonable ticket sales but Pulev won’t be doing that and they’ll need people to push this as much as possible.
